  1. Worst trail I have ever ridden on was from TQ73 I think... from Saguney area down to St Raymond. 100+ miles of pure HELL. 3-4 whoops. Groomer must have been broken for weeks.

We reluctantly rode the same section 12 months later and it was flawless.

  2. Thanks for putting it on Bill. I know it's a lot of work and we appreciate it. Thanks to J.D. too. It's nice of here to give up a summer weekend for "snowmobiling" too....

Ryan (LilBraap) had a good time picking the winning raffle numbers. It was also nice to finally meet a lot of the people here on the site. I wish I could have spent some more time mingling but I had my hands full with the two little ones.

    Thanks again

    Chris

  3. There was a show on Speed channel yesterday about saddle bagging by motorcycle in Quebec.

Dennis Gage host of "My Classic Car" his son, and a friend rode from Quebec city up to Tadoussac across the ferry then up to Chicoutimi then back down to QC.

It was fun to watch them take them see the same things as we see on the sleds. The ferry in Tadoussac, Latuque service station etc.

Good show if you can catch it on reruns….

  4. This past year the trail from St Andre to Lac Bouchette was rerouted and you didn't come into Lac Bouchette.

We came up 347 and in to that gas station this year. I think anyway... I don't remember crossing the lake afterward though.

  5. Only about 3400 for me this year. That has been about my average for the past few years.

It's been tough to get away for too many trips with a new baby abd a 3 year old.

All in QC except for one ride in Jackman ME.

    Good season overall.

  6. We have taken the chappelle trail twice and each time it has been a challange.

The first time right after a major storm. Huge moguls for 90 miles. When you bounce off the mogul you land off trail in 3' of powder.

The second time this year we rode IN a blizzard. Hard to find the trail exit everytime there is a clear cut.

    Still had fun though.

Maybe next year we will have sun shine.

  7. Here are some more shots...

    The famous cave looking out...

    Train bridge near La Tuque

Relais on the upper part of 373

    Another of TQ83

    The ferry in Taddousac

Hill Climbing on the power lines.

First tracks up near the Chappell

  8. Here are some of the highlights from the week spent up in Paradise.

TQ 83 to Claremont was awesome.

Fresh snow on the trail leaving Roberval.

    No sleds for 100 miiles.

I am an expert at getting stuck.

    I am not alone....

    We all end up digging...

    Friendly trail police...

    Valin needs more snow...

I'll get some others up here later....

    Chris

  9. Thanks Bill. We had two great days of riding with the #1 tour guide in Saguenay. It was great not to have to look at a map for the last 400 miles. We are off to Les Escoumins tomorrow for a couple of days. See you back at the HI on Thursday.....
