Andyman
I have a question for you folks who live in the Monteregie area. Is it possible and or feasible to ride from the Sorel area via TQ5 to the Valleyfield area and cross the ice bridges to get to the TQ33 and then toward St Donat? I see there is a short section of the 33 closed north of Pointe Claire. Thanks Andy

Thanks Andy I just saw your post Andy, it is definitely possible to loop around MTL on the TQ5 from Sorel, it is a little wiggly and alot of road crossings but would make for a good day of riding to do it. From TQ5 on the south shore coming into the Valleyfield area you will have to take some regional and local trails to hook you up with the 33. If St.Donat is your destination this is your route to get there from the Valleyfield area, if not and you just want to bypass MTL from the south for the ride and go north afterwards i can suggest alternate routes to the north once your through the Valleyfield area, perhaps even provide you with an escort to get through the area. This is my backyard. JG
