  1. Yesterday we left LaSarre and ended up in Chibougamau around 8:30 with just under 400 miles for the day. Trails were perfect except 50-60 miles thru Amos, very bumpy! We had a friend with us that woke up sick as a dog with the flu this morning so he took a flatbed to Roberval And a buddy from Massachusetts is headed north to get him as we speak. We were hoping he could rejoin us in the morning. The 2 of us went to the Ski Doo dealer in Chibougamau!! Somebody needed. a windshield and mirrors after playing in the powder yesterday!!Left there at 11:30 and headed down 93 to 373 and sitting at Hotel Du Jardins now planning where to go from here. Trails were great today and there's tons of snow!! TONS!!!!

  2. We stopped at a small place trail side, 20 minutes before Chibougamau. It had cabins and a little bar/resto. It was run by a woman (60ish) and her husband. She had a pork tenderloin fresh outta the oven that was fantastic!! We stayed at the Nordic. Her husband came back from town as we were suiting up and gave us a full (first hand) review of the talent at the "nightlife" across from the Nordic!! It was -39 when we went to leave the next day and the heated garage was GREAT!!!! Both sleds fired right up!!

  3. I had a starter put in my sled on Tuesday at DRC Motorsports in Alma. They had a 2016 Summit X with 200 kilometers on it that was 12' deep for 3 days! Complete loss but at least nobody died!!! We just finished a 700 mile saddlebag trip and only crossed 1 body of water, the staked river in alma! Purposely we avoided all water! In no hurry to go out falling thru the ice!

  4. Valins is 100% ready to ride!! Had an issue with my starter yesterday morning so wasted most of the day getting it replaced and ended up at the Hotel Universal. Headed across 93 and up to Onatchiway. Thin but passable down low but very good after that!! Snowed all day so far!! Spotted a few Sticker too!

  5. Left the casino and trails were good. 9 miles in we pass a groomer, 5 miles later another groomer! Everything is flat, fast and freshly groomed. Local 54, TQ3 all the way to TQ83. We stayed on 3 to check out the clubhouse but it was closed, still early season up here. Using the GPS we take a local trail that cuts through back to TQ 83 and it's on! Double groomed and fast! I guess that's why Bill calls this the Claremont express! 5 Miles before TQ383 where the Saguenay club takes over it is bumpy but once at 383 it's fresh tracks again! Get to a small bridge and the groomer turns around from there it was bumpy for a while not horrible. Find another relay that is open so decide to eat and rehydrate and what do we see another groomer!! From there to the Delta it got Thinner as we went but was 100% froze up and completely passable do not hesitate if you're thinking about coming up. Today were headed for Valins, not sure where we will end up tonight. Overall conditions are much better than we had hoped for.post-102-0-17503600-1451997829_thumb.jpegpost-102-0-67775500-1451997858_thumb.jpeg
