  1. Last year we crossed a bunch of times at Derby Line. My buddy has a house in Derby Line and its about 2 miles by trail to customs. Its amazing how nice the trails were every time, in true Quebec fashion!! We've done that loop a couple times. Valcourt and back is an alright ride but there are alot of road crossings the closer you get. Thetford Mines and back is a big mileage day(guard your sled)!! This winter Im hoping for enough snow to leave Derby and head to the HI(anyone interested??). Come on SNOW!!
  2. Like everybody said"youll have no problem". Reservations are all you will need. If you want info youve come to the right place. The knowledge and experience of most of these guy will make your trip incredibly easy and all that much more enjoyable!! Like Doobraap said "PLAN ON COMING BACK!!" Youll be hooked for sure!!
  3. Nice job!! Finally credit given where credit is due!! Cant wait to buy you a Molson Bill!!
  4. Rumor has it 355 will be open and mostly on wide open logging roads!?!? Supposed to be a more direct than it used to be, have to wait and see...
  5. Ive been thinking the same thing myself !!
  6. In Canaan Vt. Ive seen 6 moose on the trail in less than 45 minutes of riding!! Ive never seen any moose or deer far north, near the HI but have seen plenty in southern Quebec.Heres a few 25 miles or so north from Derby line crossing..I took pics 1 handed while riding.
  7. Leaving the Ice Hotel, headed back to Shawinigan, just before you get to the pipeline. We left the HI at 7am and made too many stops on the way down 23. We didnt get back until 9pm. There must have been 20 deer in that 1 straight away. Other than 50 of the coldest miles ever(due to no windshield)neither the deer or my buddy were injured.
  8. 200-300 Depending on the weather, but always try to be in by dark. Thats when all the animals seem to use the trails. Unfortunately we found that out first hand!! Notice the deer parts!!
  9. Right again Bill. Its about a mile up the road from the "Cafeteria" in L Etape...

  16. Yeah, I had to get a picture of that! Its definately a cool stop light!! Headed north thats about the last traffic light you see til the HI. Cant wait!!
  17. I also "Blame" Bill for my Quebec Riding Addiction! A few years back we had poor conditions in the northeast and heres this guy talking about hitting 6000 miles in just over 3 weeks and still planning on doubling his milage!! 12000 miles in 10 weeks!! I had to see for myself and you can guess the rest!! I sincerely thank Bill for his dedication and everything he does for all of us!!
