as far i remember ....no ...never been chased...summer time ain t bother me much ..moose can be very curious and friendly......
from late sept till moose hunting   , i m more careful ..their attitude change....i don t have that extra knowledges about moose...so , im careful
i don t tease them for fun...during rut season...
like i said, on the other thread (hahaha ) if they have a '' face the boeuf ''....i keep my distances...i don t want to look like a '' clown '' you can see on some videos...and im always alone
but over the years...i saw some very closely ...
i forgot....friday for supper , while having rouge.....i noticed that a bear scratched the window..forgot to take pics

yaa...nice job...guys at the gas station where i park the machine did the job ....
very strict in pq when you work next to water...i even saw places where they grow grass....or put hay on a job like that  ..
someone told me today ...they should rebuild the ladder at the lake....only 400,000.00$$$ ....crazy 
maybe 2 more weeks  with chainsaw....then moving to albertville with thinning saw..

yaaa...funny  !!! to keep '' strangers '' away during moose hunting !!!
about 5 years ago....3 guys ( journalists ) from cbc in french ,disguised like hunters ...came in the valley to make a reportage about moose hunting and those hunters who take too much ''territory '' for their hunting on the z e c ...they have nt been welcomed...
they ve been on that road....and bs started with a hunter half a mile from that stand...
about 10 miles from my camp !!!

i have an old rifle in the camp ....just in case....but i don t bring it with me while riding...stay in the camp !!!
i ve been surprised twice by a black bear ...one right in the yard of the camp....back in 2014  and maybe 10 years ago ,while walking in the woods..
the one in the yard....right after i unloaded my stuff in the truck....i was at the table enjoying a cold one....that black bear appeared right in the yard.....
i used to walk tons of miles in the woods....not much now...

merci !!! owned by citizens...guys like you and me.....its on the z e c ......you must pay to fish and hunt....even to circulate...i always buy my annual season pass to circulate....111.00$$
one of the best for moose hunting in pq !!! can remember exactly....around 825-850 hunters for moose hunting ...
before , where my camp is....it was dad...back in the 60's and 70's and at the lake , 5 miles away where i go to party ...it was a private club....dad was a member...dad had a cabin there til 72 maybe....and the camp...
 
turned to z e c in 76 or 79 ...so, some members at the lake were mad and sold there cabins ...because i guess , afraid of too many people around them ....fishing and hunting ...
the platforms are 8-10 miles from my camp...we have a few....next to camp...
be sure ...as soon there s a new clearcut .....new platforms.......
lots of rain today ...no see em and mosquitoes welcomed me after lunch !!!

guys like me who owns a cabin on the z e c ...we all have a little area to hunt ....about 2 miles by 1.5 miles for us.......some have a lot more...

took time to stop at the 12 miles....did nt want to post them with others....
where the 4w is...its where the cougar i had seen back in the 90' s was....
coming back from my camp ...on a dry and dusty conditions...about 2 miles before logging ( narrower road ) i saw in my mirror a truck coming fast behind...., so , i was thinking ...i won t '' eat '' your dust .....so .....vrooom.......once at the 18 miles on logging rd....still not far again behind....so , i pushed a lot more on the mushroom...
on the pics...its the corner of the '' 12 miles '' ....that hill is almost 1 mile long .....i was going 75 mph on the way down....so , lots of dust ....i knew the truck was still behind me....as far as your can see the road...this where i started to see the cougar walking very slowly ....
i wanted to stop and take pics ...but i knew that truck was behind and with all the dust ...too dangerous..
i returned there mid week to look for tracks...but way too dry !!!

heavy traffic  i guess...trail was bumpy ....with that fresh snow
mild temps when i left ...a bit better on my way back ...i just remember ....-18c at city hall
