Yes, very dissapointed but not suprised, I question how involved in the sled market they care to be. Really hoping Doo comes out with a higher HP 4 stroke. Love the Apex motor but ergo wise it did not work for me

You better watch your back at a place named Pickle Park Bill !!

Nice report Mark thanks for sharing,I always wanted to try that but have not yet had the chance to do so. Dominic runs the roads and power lines off trail up to Chib from Clova but like you I have a Gade with a standard 1.25 track that would never make it in the deep.

To many years is right time sure flies, we are heading out on the 20th or 21st of Feb again if we come your way I'll get in touch. Happy Trails to ya !

Jackstraw,
Are you going to talk Mario into putting that red bikini on? Hope he "trims up" a little before doing so !! We are heading up the 20th or 21st but not sure where we will head to yet. Take care

I prefer to stay in Chapais so I don't have to back track out of Chib. And to Icemans question on the Ballet, my wife said not in a million years...................so there is a chance !

Went on the 83 1/26 all was good and just groomed. If you fill up at Lac Faillon you should be fine until Clova if not you can always get a squirt at Balbuzzard to get you to Clova where the gaz will be much cheaper.
-
Well said Iceman...maybe even less than 1.5. The should be standard set.
I remember back in the day a trail riding sled with a 3/4 lug track was a hot item. Today the most popular track lug on the trail is a 1.25".[/quote)
I am tired
I meant 1.25" maximum, thats it-thats all. No exceptions and make it a big fine. First offense $500, simple. Change the fine print on trail pass papers to say what is allowed and when you sign for your pass you agree. Violators lose trail privileges(pass) also.
Yup sounds good.
I was "stuck" behind a group of 4 riders last week going from Valdor to Temiscaming, one on the a-holes in there group floored his sled after every stop sign and coming around every turn destroying what was fresh groomed snow. Another in the group had monster looking grater blades on his skis that also made following him a major pain in the ass and his sled was half on it's side in just about every turn. Can't fix morons like this no mattter what the "rules". I do like the track heigth limit but it would be real hard to enforce....but it's a deterrent at least. Fascinates me when in town I often see a local "Johnny Rocket" ripping around with his loud exhaust and mohawk on the helmet, you would think the neighbors of him would have thrown his sled in the lake by now.

Chapais to Val Dor today , about 3" of fresh snow on top of just Groomed trail 93 and the 83. 280 miles on perfect trails. About. 25 miles east of km 31 the trail was good and the 3 was perfect. Today delta in jonquiere to la dore then. 93 north all the way to Chapais was absolutely incredible !!!! We quit for the day at Chapais . 317 miles
-
St. Felecien to km31 was good until we passed Valinouet then it was rough to km 31. Today we went from km 31 to taddousac and over to the delta, first 20 miles were ok then we hit groomed trails the rest of the way perfect on 93 , 3 ,383 and 83 . Off to Chib tomm

Andy , I posted in the general section but just to recap everything in Temiscaming and north has been excellent; the 63 , 83 ,93 all perfect. DVDs the 83 between ball buzzard and clova was good. Stayed in Kanawarta last night , nice place . Jam up to st Felecien is very good also couple inches of snow last night. Been a lil cold -35 and - 31 but a balmy -17 now
-
Today we left Kanawarta and ended up in St Felecien at Berges awesome place to stay . Yesterday we stopped at Tamarac and visited Carole and Alain , nice to see them .
-
Left Temuskaming Friday to Rouyn 63 to 83 a 10. Rouyn , la Sarre over to Amos down to louvicourt up to seneterre and stayed at lac failllon for day 2 another 10! Failllon to Kanawarta 9.5 for day 3. Heading to Mont Valin today.

Heading up for our second trip this morning. Leaving from Temiskaming then taking the 63 to 83 to 93 over to Mont Valin back down and across the 83 to Parent over to Senneterre and back down departing Feb 2. Bon Jour !!
-
So after leaving Relais 22 if Wemontaci fails to have gaz the next option is Parent?
-
Yes all the way from the delta on 83.
From delta trails were 8-10
When you get into Wes........ Not by a map
There is no gas and the trail marking is poor.
When come intown you come to the first intersection and make a right on the road and go out across a single lane bridge. You end up riding a mile or so of plowed road.
I would plan on not getting gas there So relay 22 to parent is 150 miles.
But there is plenty of snow and the groomers have been out
From Clova to buzzard there is a section of trail that is tight with low hanging trees. ~ 10
Could get gas at Kanawata before Parent correct? and I believe Casey is no more either if I recall, boyfriend left her then she closed down a yr or 2 later ?? Shame I liked that little place.
