I am leaving from Temiskaming Friday. Taking 63 north to Ville Marie, one map shows it closed but I called the club and they said very good conditions. Again I am talking 63 north to the 83.

Yes Safari is still open, I just stayed there Jan 2nd and Jan 10th. All was good and I am certain she will appreciate your business.
-
I agree Baie Comeau is a bit better. I still prefer to cross at Colibri - Berneries and ride up though.

That was Le Radoteux yes good place. Was me n you and MXSenior. Yes?
Yeah Pub 57 another Shawinigan Icon gone. Lots of Memories there. Too bad.
Yes that sucks, knew they were having issues but did not know the closed down. Oh well have some clutching to install maybe I'll do that in her garage instead with some Heck beer

I'll be their Thursday evening if your still there I'll ask Jocelyn to ring you so we can say Hello so long as I get there early enough probably 6:30 or 7. Then we'll probably head to Pub 57 for a steak and some grilled bread!

Great info and pics from everyone, thank you very much for the input. I am going to install the Ice Storm reversible scratchers and move my rear set of front wheels to the inside like 600IQHO did. These also come with a powder coated hanger to put them on when not in use. We'll see how they work out.......Thanks again!

Did you move your wheels to the inside Bill or did your sled come that way? On the 800 Gade the front 2 wheels are on the outside. Happy with the cable style scratchers?
thanks for the pic and info

That is what I lean towards doing also. I don't believe any spacers etc will be needed to move them inside correct?
Thanks

Thanks Jack, could you post or send me a pic of it?
-
Any of you have them installed that can provide a picture? With the 2 idler wheels up toward the front of the skid I do not see a good place to mount them. Thought about moving a set of the wheels to the inside but not sure if there is a negative to doing that.
Thanks for any input

Oh man that really sucks, no injuries I hope?

Great report thanks for the pictures. Is Safari still using a gate in their parking lot ?
Thanks again

Any issue with crossing here this year from the north side? Still hop in an enclosed trailer at Motel Colibri? Leaving from the Shawinigan area on Jan 3rd then crossing to head up to the Gaspesie
Thank you

sled magazine shows the 83 open to Senneterre then fair conditions except up the 93 to LSQ which it reports as good. Most of Abitibi is lacking snow currently

Looking like the trails are ready....

Merry Christmas Bill. Sorry to hear about Greta she was a great dog. Our Cocker spaniel turned 16 in November and she is our only "child" and as you know a huge part of the family. Hope to see you this winter

If you use the Sled Magazine.com which is where FCMQ redirects you it states the 83 from Senneterre to Balbuzard "lack of snow, trails were packed but not opened. So who knows, If I get a chance i'll call Peter at Fallion Thursday and ask him.

Do you use a diaper in the BV2S helmet or not? Just bought one to replace my modular 2.

Yep. I haven't ridden that area in the last 3 years because of that, I stay central, north and western QC mostly. Who knows though maybe this year I will give it a go again. In fact leaving on 1/2 until the 12th so we may head into the area but leaning towards leaving from Shawinigan area and over to the Gaspe
