  1. I ride 90% of the time on the south shore of Québec. In Chaudière-Appalache we have more or less 2700km of trails! If you pass by the Massif, I can for sure look for you guys! Have a nice & safe ride! SB 2006
  2. I know that this is the Federation .... but do not trust they trail condition! Go to the website of the snowmobile club in stead! http://www.motoneigearrierepays.com/sentiers.html SB 2006!
  3. If you want other pictures taken by firefighters to go: http://www.zone911.com/index.php?option=co...84&Itemid=1 I just consulted the media and .......they said that the pumps had not been affected and that will try to restore basic service in 48 hours. Wow!! I keep in touch!
  4. A fire raged Wednesday evening at the station L'Etape, the rest stop located in the middle of the wildlife reserve the Laurentians, on Highway 175 between Quebec and Saguenay. According to the TVA network, the station was on fire and motorists & snowmobilers were asked to fill before embarking on the wildlife reserve. There was no indication, however, that the main building was hit. In September 2003, the main building, which is the single point of service on this route alone, had been completely destroyed by fire. A temporary building was then erected, pending the new Step, which was inaugurated in late 2005. Each year, more than a million people stop at L'Etape. You will need at least a 10 liter to go to the relay apica..... At the local radio(CKRS 98.3) M. Champagne (the big Champagne) talk with the owner of the station which has burn at 8:30 am Thursday and M. Girard has confirmed that by the weekend there would be resumption of service pumps because nothing has been touched by the flames of this later. Only the garage is a total loss. Mr. Girard has promised the owner to notify the CKRS 98.3 fm radio to confirm the return of activities. Bring gasoline just in case...that it's not yet open!!
  5. Thanks for your great reports & nice pics! It is greatly appreciated!! As far for the clubs, some of them are closed. I can not speak for others, but with regard to the Club St-Magloire, we expected after the response from the merger of the club! But for next time, if you are cool or you need to go to the bathroom or a break, the door on the right side of the relais (in the cellar) is always open! For Bellechasse snowmobile club, we have not yet found our ''dealer'' for the restaurant! Good news! Members voted yesterday to the merger of the club St-Magloire, Lac Etchemin, Saint Sabine as well as Saint-Justine. The new name of this club is: "Le Club Motoneige des Etchemins'' Together we will be able to keep this area, including the Massif du Sud. RR! I was at the club house of Ste-Sabine around 12h45 We have to keep in touch next time, for sure!! All the best!!

  7. Here is the response of a Executive member at the Club house of Beauceville! It is not really easy..... You must go through the R545 by St-Théophile, St-Zacharie, Ste-Aurélie, St-Prosper, St. Louis de Gonzague, Ste-Justine to arrive at the TQ55. Once on the 55, Ste-Sabine,St-Magloire.....Two choice.....R549 to link with the TQ5 or stay on the TQ55....pass by Ste-Lucie de beauregard, St-Pamphile, Ste-Perpétue, Tourville, until you arrive at the TQ5 at St-Damase Not easy.....Possible, but with a lot of patience Yes, It should Past. It's groomed but the signalisation is at 40%! That's what the club toll me! Have a nice ride!
  8. For sure, you can go to RDL......by the TQ5. You can pass by Lac 3-Saumon!! By the TQ35, will not be easy!! The Montmagny club didin't gromme because of a ''brige'' of Beaver. 12. I OFFICIALLY announce that the Club Motoneige Bellechasse will open trails on Thursday december 6, 2007. In addition, the work on the influence of Highway 20 are complete! YES! Our priorities to be ready this weekend: TQ5 St-Gervais to Montmagny - TQ35 once again from St-Damien to ND-du-Rosaire - R547 St-Gervais to St-Damien - R549 from the TQ35 to Buckland. Work has already started in some clubs, the others will follow tomorrow, Thursday and Friday to be ready this weekend! In summary, I believe that you will be able to leave from the border lines and move towards Armstrong, St-Georges, Lac Etchemin, Ste-Sabine, St-Magloire, Montmagny, and even Thetfort Mine as well as Rivière-du-loup. But caution because the rivers are not yet frozen & at the standards!! I will come back with pics!! Be careful ... and keep your right!! SB 2006

  15. Hi RR! What is written on the site is that the trail TQ # 55 from Beauceville in the direction of Lac Etchemin is now open. & from Lac Etchemin to at less St-Fabien-de-Panet is groomed!! As well as the R549 & R547 +TQ35 until ND-Du-Rosaire. So that mean that is more or less 400km of groom trails for us right now. I will have to double check with our groomers for this week-end! Unfortunately, the relais du Lac Vert in St-Nérée-de-Bellechasse is closed since 2003 All the best!
  16. Latest news! The club house of Beauceville has not yet solve the problem of right of way(droit de passsage) on TQ75 between Notre Dame and Beauceville. There is a pressure group against the crossing of snowmobilers on the highway! Again, snowmobilers have taken hostage Here is the information found on their website: The trail TQ # 75 between Notre Dame des Pins Beauceville and is not yet open, but it will soon be assured. THE TRAIL WILL NOT BE CLOSED THIS SEASON! Ouff!! http://www.clubmotoneigebeauceville.ca/surveiller.asp

  18. Were exacly in Maryland! Give me your zip code! Sorry, but what do you mean by base!? If is the snow accumulation between the ground and the groom trail...well more or less 2 foots Yes RR! The Montmagny Club can't not groom the 551 to go on the 35...to groom...because they have to cross a marsh(In the Park Régional des Appalaches) & it's not frozen yet! Officials believe they will be able to go there next week ... if everything is frozen...!
