Love that heavy machinery
The only way
Groomer I know you like them too.
Great trails need big machines.
-
This is for sure hopefully the new trail won't cross the road so much as the old one did.
-
Too easy for sure let's see who gets it.
-
Any new trail is a good trail!! Thanks for the info
Yes I agree any new trail is better then losing one.
Technically speaking this is a re-route for the existing trail #73 so to me is not new
since it goes to the same place Its all good.

Yes 347 is sorely missed for sure would love to have it back again.
-
Very intersting looks good the old trail was no great joy for sure. Can't wait to try it..
Snow soon come

Still hopeful that somebody who has ridden up to one of the outfitters on the Gouin can provide some insight on doing the loop shown on the Tamarac placemap. It seems that there are 3 outfitters (plus the indian village) up there that are open in the winter??? You juiced-up freeriders who long for the big off-trail experience should know something about this?? Anybody??
i have not done this loop, yet.
My brother in law does business with at least one of the outfitters there. He told me about the loop. He knows I have ridden just about everywhere and said go there.
Talking with Martin at the Tamarac in Clova it seems like a very popular run for the groups from mt Laurier(mostly French) from France . There is an Indian woman who makes traditional meals by reservation in her home (lunch stop for the tourists)
Most of the trail is over the ice at times they say you can see no land at all just stakes marking The trail
Note not groomed as often as is a private loop and not sure if they groom on the reservoir but I doubt it so never know what is like.
They are open in winter
I can verify that before we get the groomers going this year.
That's all I got for you Timbo looks like a great loop is on my list for sure maybe this season.
So many trails so little time.

that is an easy one Repos
One of the only gas stops many from Cabanon ever see
-
How about TQ 83 between Roberval and Relais 22 headed south. closer to Relais 22
-
true enough for the tank and pump
not ideal but better then nothing
Hope the power stays on and/or the generator stays running to work that pump.
But sprinklers definately save lives and property no doubt about it.
-
just one problem with the sprinkler system
the lack of a water supply for them to function
I don't think they have the infrastructrure there at Onitchaway
-
Wemotaci residents being allowed to return home. No word on Relais 22 will try to find out. there are still more then 20 fires burning in Quebec only 1 is listed as out of control. rain helped for now and number is way down from the 60 last week that were burning
unsure if the trails have been affected yet (bridges burned etc.....) we shall see
not sure if the people from manawan have been allowed to return yet.

LOL I still rememeber looking at that BIG map at LeCabon and saying lets go to Chibougamau back in the early 90's and a young guy and we would all laugh..... But now have been there a few times like it is nothing... The mistek is gone LOL. Now need a new place to shoot for. How about Radison ?? anyone been there??
not yet but have been studying the prospect of doing it
Is all riding along the roads to go there plus towing gas

Yes I agree Club Odanak was a great stop stayed there a few times. The owner who lost his son had come from Africa to Quebec not sure if he was from Quebec or France. Was a much different place once he was gone, and the new owners took over. With the closure of 347 it was game over. It's a Shame but without the 347 or an access trail that is groomed their fate is sealed not sure if 347 will ever be restored. This new trail 73 maybe will be what they need to make a comeback. We shall see. I will stop there. If it's open and accessible.
