  1. Don, I use the RWS map as the overlay and have purchased the topo's. I run the topo underneath. I also have the city navigator maps on it, but keep it turned off while riding. If I don't have a reference for gas or food, I can turn on the nav map and all that info comes up. The unit is the Nuvi 550 and has worked great for me so far. I use it in the vehicle as well as off road.

  2. wondering where to get the best most recent trail map of Quebec??

    want to overlay the topo canada with it

    Seen a few are they all the same? Around $99 bucks i think

    Who is using what?

    I know there is a free map, but is the other more detailed it must be I would think

    Looking to use it on a garmin oregon 300

  4. A friend brought me through that area on the way back in to trois riveres from running the gaspe

    Is a place called Bernierres or something right along the route 20 hotel bar restaurant/diner and truck stop

    owner real nice guy very sled friendly

    was good area will for sure go back let me know when you are going

  5. you know i met bernard only once a few years back

    I know how much he did for this sport

    I know how much he helped many sledders

    I been wanting to stop by the Safari I just felt kinda strange since i really didn't know him .

    I am for sure aware of how much he meant to the region here and i am hoping to help out with the club here and get involved directly

    I live about 1.5 miles from the Safari so you guys who start out of the Safari will be glad to know i am right here and I will report for you.

    I know what its like to wait all year for the neige and I myself used to endure the 8 hr or so ride to paradise

    Not to mention the 8 hrs back

  6. How long has it been closed?

    I know it at least two maybe three seasons since i rode that twisty twisty trail.

    I like all trails and hate to see any closed for sure.

    was it being logged up there or just eliminated??

    I am trying to make contact here with the local club to volunteer.

    will try to find out its fate for this season

    I will see if i can ask Richard from mekinac about 347 and post it.

  7. thanks crazysnow for the reply. I am living here in Quebec and will be using my gear alot more now. (weather permitting) let it snow ALOT

    So i am ready to make an investment in something that will last and be warm and comfortable too.

    where do you usually ride up here in snowmobile heaven aka Quebec???

  8. Don't know if any one cares or if they heard but fire destoyed the big ski doo dealer and rental place in st michael de saint. Gone. march 27. was one of the

    biggest dealers. total loss. electrical short they are saying. i'm sure it will be rebuilt biggger and better.
