Left on 2/3 from Drakkar heading to Lac Bouchette, Auberge Eva. Plenty of snow since our first trip up here 3 weeks ago. We took trail 3, 351/23 to the 355 to get there, mostly good but could use a grooming but hey for a Sunday ride it was all good! Heading to Nordic in Chibougamau tonight.
Please let us know how the trail is heading up to Chibougamau. Heading up that way Soon. Thanks

83 is the much better run IMO. You can get oil in Chiboug, Senneterre, Clova, Parent, Relais 22 and Roberval. Always carry an extra 2 litres just in case and you are good to go.
Thank you! 83 it is then....

Well we are now one week away from our trip up the 93 to Chibougamau and down to Senneterre. Glad to see the 93 is now open....
Is there anywhere that one can purchase BRP oil somewhere along this loop?
Should we head back east through trail 83or head farther south to catch trail 63?
Thanks

Great information! thanks!

We are looking into doing a trip into northern quebec. Anyone ever do TQ93 from LaDoré to Chibougamau and westward to Senneterre? Possibly taking TQ83 back towards Parent. The rest of our trip is straightforward, but these sections look very remote so i want to do my homework. What's the longest distance between gas stops? Anything we should be aware of? Thanks

Double check conditions, getting into matane might be thin. You could be better to trailer to the ferry terminal, then off load.
Just got off the phone with the club in matane. They apparently received more snow and have since groomed down to the ferry terminal so we're going to chance it.

We are headed up tomorrow, leaving from cross point (campbellton area) to matane to take the ferry over to baie comeau. From the information i received today everything is supposed to be good to go in that area.

Right on thanks!

Which mountain was this taken from?

Thank you, that is the kind of info i am looking for. Other than the river crossing, is the rest signed enough to get by? We travelled the 93 last year but are looking to do a different route this year if possible unless the scenery is not better than 93. Our trip last year totalled 2918 km over a period of 10 days.

Looks like 193km (120mi) using the fcmq interactive map. Forestville to Kilometer 31. That is quite a stretch if anything goes wrong, ie ungroomed.
my bad i was under the impression it was groomed according to the previous posts

As TB says, that would be a great loop, and is all groomed except the short Portnuef river crossing. Take this highlighted trail to Forestville and Trail 3 back would be nice. Some of the best scenery are the valley runs down the Portneuf river trail( highlighted) and the orange trail that runs north of Forestville to Le Chenail. A beautiful ride in both situations
Happy trails
Can this trail be done without extra fuel? How much time does it take?

4 day loop, start from Cabano or Degelis, straight down the TQ35 to Quebec city, across on the shuttle. Up the TQ 3 along the St Lawrence, across the Saguenay to Baie Comeau ,across the ferry and back to the trucks. It will take a little planning on which direction to travel to coincide with the ferry schedule. You can also start from PALC which is a shorter truck drive from the Island.
We are planing on doing this loop starting Jan. 17 in a counterclockwise direction any idea what the conditions are like as of late?

Looking for some feedback. We will be doing a 6 day tour leaving Cross point (Gaspesie) Wednesday Jan.17 heading north to Baie-Comeau. From there we'll head down towards Quebec city to cross back over to the south side then back up towards Gaspesie. I am not familiar with the section from Tadoussac down to Quebec city. Are there any trails to avoid? Some sections not to miss? TQ3 vs. 378? Any trail closures or conditions we should know? We will be staying at the manoir richelieu on the way through that area. Thanks for any info provided!

We are planning on crossing from Levis to Quebec on the shuttle tomorrow evening. What would be the best place to stay at on the the north side? We will be heading towards Lac st Jean the next day.
