Iam also looking for a place close to Mt. Valin. The Barrage has a message on their machine that says closed for winter. Do the Relais have lodging??

Thanks for the responses. I really did not want to spend 2 days riding to and from a home base. Seems like so much to see in the Lake. St. Jean area. I really want to start out in Roberval or surrounding area and maybe overnight north of the lake and somewhere on the south side of the lake.

How far is it that way?? Really do not want to spend 2 days riding to Shawinigan and back.

Been to Bernard`s. Wanted to start closer to the lake. He is about 270 miles to Roberval.

Leaving from NJ. Looking to park truck and trailer and tour around the Lake St. Jean area.

Will he let you park at his place while you back pack??

Looking for a good starting point for a week of riding in this area. Need safe parking and decent lodging. Any response would be helpful.l
