  1. I used my Droid and sent my picture from my phone to my email address at home.Your iphone can do this. Once you open the pic in your email save it to a location on your PC. Then used the upload this picture link found at the bottom of the page to upload to Quebecrider. Worked perfect.

  2. I post pics on other forums regularly. What I do is upload the pic first to a free host site like Photobucket. This is the place that hosts your picture that will be displayed. Remember this must be a place that hosts your pic. Not your local computer. Then go to Photobucket and hover your mouse over the picture you uploaded and copy that host location. Then paste that location here so that we can see it. Tip: You want to paste IMG code.

  3. Good info. Anyone who buys liquor or beer cigarettes are usually mindful of quantity rules. If you were to buy more than the exempt amount you would be subject to paying additional duty on those items. We were told not to worry about quantity rules by border police. They said if you purchased two more cases of beer or an extra quart of liquor we could be pulled over to pay the extra duty. The problem is that the extra duty only comes to several dollars and the paperwork required is not worth the money collected. The border police wont bother to waste Canadian resources for very little return. It does make sense.

  4. Thanks for the replies. Scorpion I cant believe your mileage I'm jealous. I used to run 2500 miles a year. I can clearly see I'm still just a novice. I was thinking we could run only are far as half a tank of fuel would allow. Mountain sleds could be a lot of fun. It does not appear mountainous north of Lac Jalobert. I like hilly terrain. No cell service so satellite phone is the only thing available. I think Im talking myself right out of this idea. Thanks Guys.

  5. When it first happened, I went to the big office in Montreal and demanded some answers. They told me that it could take 6 years. But now March 29 will mark 4? Anyways, I am pretty much convinced they are doing nothing.

    RIP Al and Danny,

    Zen,

Thanks for the reply. I can't imagine this investigation has concluded. I cant believe the idiot across the lake

could have covered all his tracks or connections and could have been this cleaver.

    Please keep us updated.

  6. Last year four of us bought Garmin Rino 530 HCX. The GPS works super and you also get a 5 watt radio good for 10-12 miles. With a headset installed in the helmet and a push to talk button we have communicators all well as GPS. The battery lasts all day and is 50-60% charged 10 hours later. I was gonna hard wire mine but thought why bother. Handlebar mount works great and costs only $20. The free Quebec trails downloaded from this site works perfect and you won't be disappointed.

  7. We are planning the season ender. Does anyone know how Mts Valin is holding up? Once the water starts to flow from the meltdown its all over. I did this a couple of years ago back in April and it really sucked. Where can we get up to the minute real trail conditions? Also can there be riding from the Holiday Inn at this time? I'm willing to drop at the ski resort if needeed.

  8. Our group has never had good results with the communicators. The problems always relate to VOX and the noise inside the helmets opens everyone’s microphone and nothing seems to work. This year I purchased a GPS with a 5 watt radio built in. Garmin Rino 530 HCX. I wanted a GPS anyway and thought the radio function would be useful. You need to use the push to talk feature. I then found the software with all the trails in Quebec is available for free. Its offered over on Hard Core Sledder. The radio-GPS mounted real clean on my handlebars and the radio function worked great. Also the trails on GPS work great. Saved our group from wrong turns a couple of different occasions. Also I purchased everything needed for hard wire to the sled. It wasn't needed even in cold temps single digits at the end of the day still half the battery was available. ---Mac---
