  1. All beer taste great when you are paying top dollar for them. For some reason, when I am home sitting on the couch, they just don't seem to go down as good.
  2. I agree Its priceless! My plan for this season, is to get there as much as I can and and see a lot of special places that people posted pic's of. After I look at all the pic's posted, I feel like I am missing out on some great adventures!
  3. I agree, it's gonna hurt a little more, and Quebec is a great place to ride. As for New England, when there is snow Its a great place to ride also, just a different kind of riding. When money becomes an issue you have to doo what you have to doo. If money was no issue, Trust me, I would doo what Saguenay Bill does! I would be there the WHOLE winter. :D Everytime I buy a powerball ticket (A cheap fantasy for a dollar) I think if I win, I pack up and head to Quebec and ride. :D
  4. The reason I ask, there have been times where I purchased a pass and only made it to Canada one time. Depending on what the future brings, snow conditions, exchange rates, cash in general. That might be the thing to doo to start off the season?
  5. 48% Ouch! A lot less people would be crossing the border, and the trails back in the states would be pretty crowded  that's if there is snow.
  6. Awsome pic's, looks like a great place to ride. I doo have my passes for the PQ but let me ask you this question. If you ride the Zec only, doo you still have to purchase a PQ pass?
  7. That's a good question, I would think rual area's would want the canadian dollar?
  8. Some of the guy's in the big rig are a bit crazy I think, even the logging trucks blow by you like you are standing still on a corner even. They must handle well. Is the Zec, One way trails? someone had told me that before? I am not sure.
  9. That is what I had on my F150, 65k on them, could have got another 5 but I wanted to get new ones before the snow starts to fly. The M/S 17" are special order now, so I went with the LTX X It looks like the same tire less the M/S in white letters. Sams club had a good deal on them, plus with the Road hazzard option it was the best deal I found. I was looking at the special tires for the ice and snow from the link posted above, but I figured I drive a lot of miles just getting too the snow that I would wear them out quite quickly.
  10. Rob, did you decide on what tires you want?
  11. I had mine cleaned last season, it does make a difference.
  12. I was thinking the same thing, all the cars and trucks and not a one trailer, not even a sled.
  13. Yes he did, he booted out of there pretty quick. :o)
  14. Now that was funny stuff Bernard :D , you just could not resist ay!
  15. They doo not always inforce the law on the mirrors. But knowing it's the law, you will not get Paranoid everytime you come to a check point if you have them. Right Legend? No pun intended...
  16. Will you be able to post trail conditions while you are up there, or not until you get home? We plan on being there the following week, either way looking forward to your report ER. Think snow!
  17. That's the biggest issue with politics, no one ever agree's. But this thread was not started to get political views, but to inform Snowmobilers what to exspect when crossing the border. I am sure you could have all the paperwork ever needed to cross the border, but if the border patrol is having a bad day, they are going to share with who ever they choose.
  18. I also heard that there is a new island, now that the ice melted enough to exspose it. They named it, Warming Island!
  19. You will not need a Passport to cross the border. The original plan would have been in efect as of 01/01/08. With all the hipe in the spring and summer, I did apply for mine and it only took 3 weeks to get it, that was a supprise! However, I would not dought it, if something was to happen with national security again, they could make needing a passport manatory overnight. And if they doo, it would be in the best of interest of national security for our country.
  20. I never been asked for it either or the plate number, and I have to travel quite a distance to the border, so I doo carry my B.C. with me just in case. I would hate to go all the way there and they tell me I can not cross. The thing I found most interesting was about the threat level, I knew nothing about that, Is it true?
  21. I know this is somewhat an important issue to some. I read a post to the same topic on HCS and I thought it was interesting information that I never knew about?
  22. Thanks for the info, I appreciate it. Are my expections high? Oh yes just like when I play Powerball. (A cheap fantasy for a buck) Last season my expections was very high also for T day weekend. But I postponed for a week and the conditions was much better.
  23. Anyone know when Mount Vallins starts getting accumulated snow. On a normal or average season. Was last season the worse in the past 3 to 5 years? Just trying to get an idea.
