hi snobeeler !! from amqui ,you must take trail 587 south toward la redemption to go to the ''radar'' or montagne st pierre .you should see that sign near the top.trail could be plowed for 1.5 miles according to a poster on the french forum.they are building wind mills there. for our clubhouse you can t miss it .just next to tq5 .200' from main street in albertville. groomer !!!

smclelan, while looking for pics found this one .look at the first one ,almost no ditch .they dug the ditch last summer . pics taken ,dec 26 th /08 ps : as a member of our club ,you have the privilege to ask the president to hire a new groomer operator !! sky still grey and heavy .few fleurries right now and -2c. groomer !!!

hi phil !! sorry, looks like i was in the moon this morning,did nt see your post,went to bed at 2 am.for sure grooming it s a lot of hrs .but i rather groom than milk the cows.ha !! ha !! never trusted a cow.rather see a moose 10 ' from me than a cow. hope to see you with jackstraw at the clubhouse even if it s omly for a few mins !! hi smclelan !! ha !! ha !! no, my eye sight still very good ,only when i m tired .well ,monday(i think ) it has been very windy ,i could see the ditch very clearly ,but many times it was hard to find the ''line '' ,edge of the trail. i was going in 4 gear and suddently i felt the left track going (sinking) in the ditch.at that time ,machine was still in good ''position ''.stopped ,went backward slowly ,but the front end of the track began to ''slide '' for the ditch.machine was leaning a bit on the left. then ,went forward very slowly and ''bang '' in the ditch.as soon i put the machine in forward position ,the weight was completly on the left side and track came off .t$k !! ha !! ha !! called my friend to come with a big loader ,but he came with the excavator,he took the right decision. so, with a chain and the bucket we put the track back on the wheels .then went grooming st alexandre,lac saumon ,lake 8 miles and the local trail for ste marguerite.saw a moose there around 8 pm. while grooming i was thinking about that.maybe on my last run there ,i went too close to the ditch and probably turned the steering wheel very quickly to come back on the trail and probably the pan went over the ditch without packing the snow directly at the bottom of the ditch.ditch is about 3 ' deep. so ,if the pan went over the ditch ,it probably f&?%% my ''line '' or the edge.thats why track began to ''sink '' in the ditch !! almost right where we met with mac.don t tell him ,ha !! ha !! fyi ,rained in rimouski-mont joli and snow back in sayabec.this afternoon about 20 mins of freezing rain and a bit around 6 30 pm .right now it s very calm,-1c .about 3-4 '' of snow today. i wanted to groom tq 5 later tonight ,but ill wait for early sunday morning.should be colder.i hate that ,it change all the schedule. sorry for the long post groomer !!!

hi 14 snow !! i was on my way to post a message.woke up at 8 am and already snowing .clear sky and full moon at 2 am.about 1 '' on the ground and still snowiiiiiiiiiing. -5c right now . groomer !!!

hi jackstraw !! back from grooming at 10 45 pm,left at 8 am. wife of the vice president sent me an e mail about that ,hope so, to be busy !! it has been warm here today.+1c in rimouski.went grooming 4 local trails .snow from the last storm.sunday night i think.-7c right now . snow was sticky a bit ,but by 7 pm ,it was colder .it ll be nice tomorrow morning !! saw another moose tonight . if you stop at the clubhouse ,just ask them to call me !!! loooooooooooooooooong day today and not too funny .see the pics on the other post !!haaaaa!! groomer !!!

hi 14 snow !! just woke up from a short napt !! ha !! ha !! looks better every runs since the last 3-4 runs.looks like there s been a lot of traffic yesterday .trail was packed very good this morning by the sleds. it has been so windy yesterday ,snow has been blown off the trail at many places.it was nt nt rough( no bumps ) this morning ,only small drifts . groomer !!!

while grooming this morning , i found a pair of eyeglasses with a clip on shade in a little case. inside the case ,there s a little sticker with the adress of the guy. he s from metcalfe ,ontario and lives on glenwood drive . if you know him ,let me know !! groomer !!!

back from grooming tq5 .great day for riding.-17c at 2 30 am and now -5c .saw about 40 sleds . sunny this morning and turned to cloudy by noon. one bad news !!!! :angry: at the gas station in town where i park the machine ,one of the guys there told me that the indians from the reserve in cross point plowed tq 5 .i don t know for how mamy miles . saw 3 mooses again early this morning !! groomer !!!

Nouvelle pour la #73N vers Vermillion. J'arrive du Relais Vermillion en motoneige et avec le 10 pouces et 12 pouces par endroit de neige qu'on à reçu ça va être beau. Dans la partie graveler de 11 km on a frapper quelques roches mais très peu. Cette semaine dans cette partie on va taper le sentier seulement pour ne pas faire resortir les roches et je crois que ça va être ok fyi... 73 north toward vermillion that guy is just back from relais vernmillion and he s a director for the club in latuque.10-12'' of fresh snow . they ll pack the snow only instead of grooming ,not to bring back the rocks.they ll do it this week.the 11km of plowed road i guess,not too bad ,few rocks groomer !!!

back from grooming tq 5 .few fleurries at 2 am,at 4 am it was better and around 9-10 am waaaaaaay better .expecting up to 6 '' till tomorrow morning. windy tho, up the hills .not the greatest day to ride and groom.it's white and grey everywhere.poor visibility + i was feeling asleep right at the beginning !!worse run this season. saw about 40 sleds.98% of them going east. might be back on tq 5 early wednesday morming. time for a napt.... groomer !!!

hi all !! back from grooming !!snowing here right now.few fleurries at 2 am.but since 9 am i guess,way better.conditions are getting better since the last 3 runs. according to a radio station from riki,thursday or friday should nt be too funny .might have rain. -10c at 2 am and right now -7 c.at least it s snowing.looks more like winter. dont forget trail 595,somewhere between la cache and the faribault camps is plowed for 20 miles. we should receive up to 6 '' till tomorrow morning. all pics ,off trail 587 in the sayabec area. groomer !!!

back from an 11.5 hrs run.went grooming 4 local trails.-29c at 5 30 am and now - 22 c.it has been very windy from 11 am til 4-5 pm.for sure trails will be very hard packed. saw 2 mooses around 7 pm on my way back from the lake . groomer !!!

hi 14 snow !! conditions are getting better since a week .but if you want an honest answer ,''exellent '' ,personnally ,i think the word is strong a bit.we re not use to see that quantity of snow at this time of the season. great riding ,yes ,exellent ,not yet . about 10 days ago ,waitress talked with tourists from the mtl area.they were very happy with the conditions.she s been surprised !! i guess depending where tourists come from ,you ll have probably different answers.for me ,i need more snow to be exellent . like i said ,great riding ,no problems ,but i need more snow before saying exellent conditions.different peoples ,different answers !! pics from a storm ,feb 19 /06 .look at the difference of snow !!! :o :o groomer !!!

while grooming this morning ,heard from a radio station in riki that the ''mad farmer '' in st joseph de lepage(just next to mont-joli by 50 '.east side)give the ok to access his fields . ...so there was a problem there. groomer !!!
