  1. anyone happen to have any updates on through Quebec city area ...... wanting to leave St Raymond Wednesday the 16th up to Tadoussac .....could head up to Le Etape and back down ...... but looking for best route ....

if passable through city ......3 and locals then that is most direct.... if not passable we need to head north first and over .....well may need to change hotel reservations....

any updated/current feed back is appreciated - thanks

  2. looking for information on conditions ...... specifically on leaving out of St. Raymond - and any conditions reports on the route you want to throw at me is appreciated

Day 1 - looking at leaving there between 16-18th of February and basically riding up 3 and locals to Tadoussac area - havent heard much - i read its passable (before latest storm) - or may have to go up 23 and across 368/383

Day 2 - Tadoussac area through Mt. Valin to St felician - This i know will be good

Day 3 - ride west and south of lake or back into Valin (condition dependent) then into Saguenay for the night

Day 4 - Down 23 stop at Ice hotel and then back to St. Raymond --- if we could go up 3 on day 1 if not then probably over and down 355 and then back to st. raymond

  3. thank you - figured they were as we have always stopped there ...... but the online mapping and gps dont show them as having fuel .......... im assuming Pourvoirie lac du repos has fuel as well - again not shown on online maps as having fuel ...

  4. Bob, your talking about the Saint-Maurice river that runs North out of La Tuque. The same river that parallels route 155. The locals told us that you could run that river North towards Relais 22 and it would eventually connect back up with trail 73. It supposedly saves a bunch of time and avoids the twisty part of 73. We just need to figure out where to jump on the river coming South from Relais 22 on our way to La Tuque. Or we just come down 355 and be done with it. Just hate to miss 83 between Roberval and Relais 22.

We came down the river trail last year leaving Relais 22 on our way back to Richards place........ river was fast and cut out a ton of time..... would recommend if in a hurry back down ...

  5. Part 2:

Was 4:25 til we got it picked up roadside by Camil Moto Sports Great people , fella Ben also works with tourism and was a huge help, giving me his truck to use as he was taking out writers from On Snow Magazine for a trip.

Couldn't find the right shock........... so i ended up getting them to drop one out of a sabercat (shorter shock)

Then punched no limiter strap holes and Strapped it down to continue the trip (lots of ski pressure:( but it finished the trip)

They had closed at 5:00 so none of this could be done until Day 4, Spent the night at Cant think of the name.....cool place about a mile past Coronet, lots of animals there on the farm - 93 goes right through the property. We had planned on making it to Passion or Chicutomi

Day 4: -1/2 day needed to get the shock put on in the morning.....good trail out 93 from Sacre couer to Universal in Alma - only bad area was right past Passion....it was thin and rough for a 10 mile section......

Stopped at La Chapelle for lunch

    Day 5:

out 93 around the lake through Roberval and then out 83 to Relais 22

Day 6: - 1/2 day Back down 73 then local river trail then back on 73 to 355...... all good trail.....355 had been groomed since the beginning of the week........ 355 was smoother but extremely thin now as we got closer to richards - lots of stones/boulders loose and exposed.

Spent the Night at Auberge Des Cevennes - Excellent place - Great Food!!! Highly Recommended......... no night life but a nice small out of the way place!!

Day 3: ended up being a 1/2 day

Smooth great trail back out 383 down to 83 and then up 3 to Tadousac

    Then Across the Ferry

    IMG00098-20100210-1304.jpg

Then hit a bump on bridge exit our way before Sacre Couer and blew a shock around 1:00pm

I carry lots of tools - good thing as we had to drop the skid trailside to get the shock un wedged and out
