A friend of mine also lost his life due to an accident on the trail. Alcohol did not play a part but we still must all be safe on the trail. One area I think is a problem is over aggressive riders. I like to ride fast where I feel safe like a nice wide and straight trail or even on a smooth lake, I like to open it up and see what it will do. But the last few years I seem to see more and more guys on my side in the twistys, passing at unsafe places sometimes while they are STANDING UP! Get real. I call these guys the "Rippers" they can turn a perfectly good trail into mogels in no time flat and seem to have no respect for life or limb. tpc1
Same to you. It sucks. We have all done things on sleds we should never of done. But we can all learn from these bad things. We were not drinking but someone else was. The sad thing i have seen since the accident is everyone around me saying they will never drink when they ride. yah right well maybe for a few rides. Then its, it will never happen to me. But hopefuly no one ever has to go through these bad experiences, I can not put into words what it is like to have some one you love take his last breath in your arms. Enough i have not ridden in 3 yrs. But im starting to miss it. Sorry for your loss. A friend of mine also lost his life due to an accident on the trail.
