  1. Great write up ICE !!! Wish my wife rode but unfornately it just not her "cup of tea" I am STILL mad at myself (mostly my buddy) for not waiting around another 15 or so minutes last week in Amos. We didn't know for sure if you were going to make it....and spot on......you did. Have a GREAT rest of the season and maybe we will cross paths before it's all over.
  2. The run from the 83/345 junction was like this all the way into Kanawata. Good choice turning around yesterday Bob. and a BIG thank you for breaking the trail up north this morning we are off to camp now. Looks like the M20. & M21 are fresh groomed......SWEET
  3. The trail from Parent to Wemo was fresh groomed last night at it was oh.....so.....sweet ....... here 1000ft before Haltaparache
  4. The “good news” is Quebec Bob and crew are alive. We pulled into Haltaparache within 1 minute of each other. GREAT to finally meet you Bob !! They were in Kanawata yesterday afternoon and turned around 10-15 miles north as snow was pushing over the hood on barons 850 Expedition. Good move. They stayed in Kanawata where we are now having lunch. And you guessed right......
  5. Ok.....We just spoke to lady here at Chalet. She says a French speaking woman called about the cancellation for QuebecBob and didn’t offer much info other than something wrong with the trail.
  6. I like to think not......but will update after I get home and do real world testing
  7. Ok.....6 sleds total at Central this a.m. 4 Pennsylvania guys heading to Mt Laurier to their truck after finishing up the 83/93 loop & two guys from New Hampshire need someone to chime in here on a riddle that just happened. On the way back from the Central I filled up my 1 gallon (3.8 liter) Skidoo “Jerry” can. Stamped right on the plastic it says 3.8 Litres. This is what the pump says. Either the capacity of the can is more than what Skidoo says ....OR.....something is wrong at the gas pump. I know there is volume correction and temperature and everything but this seems excessive.
  8. Ok.....live pic just taken here at the cabin....if I had to guess....24 hr total snowfall here in Parent 14” imches WHERE is QuebecBob ??? Guess I’ll go over to the Central and get some breakfast we will check with owner lady here this a.m. and see when Bob called and what he said
  9. God I hope he and his buddies are ok.... have a feeling we’ll hear soon. Buddy says he didn’t ask her “when” he called to cancel
  10. So I have Ben drop me off in the middle of this wide long straight away that you could see for a mile in each direction and I thank him and tell him my buddy will be back on his sled to pick me up any second. So....I’m standing there for like 5 minutes (seems like a long time)....and I finally see headlights coming. Good ....here he comes I hear a sled...it’s not him .....but.....a lone Ontario dude. He stops....pullls up the visor and says you o.k man.....and I instantly decided to f&@ck with him. “ I literally scream.....”I LOST MY SNOWMOBILE “....have you seen it?? the look on his face was priceless.....then I said I was in that groomer you just passed and here comes my buddy André. We all hung for a half hour, became asshole buddies and exchanged funny stories and each others contact info here my buddy André and Randy from Ontario
  11. So,we’re hanging at the relais and who comes by but “Ben” one of the main groomers out of the Amos Club. Shows us his brand new “Pisten Bully” that was 350,000 dollars. The FCMQ pays for half and club finances the rest. my wheels are turning.....and we are early for lunch and have time so I ask Ben if he would give me a ride in the groomer. Sure....he says so off we go. I have sat in quite a few but never got the real experience. My buddy André was to pick me up on the trail about 20 minutes later a couple miles up. Had a blast with Ben showing me all the controls and telling my “all things grooming” These machines are SWEET and then SOME inside. A true engineering marvel.
  12. They have a cups and fresh water, condiments and even coffee. Led lights, endless supply of wood and the best outside “crapper” I have ever seen. Had led light inside and nice clean comfy (not that I tried) cushions around the hole.
  13. Yesterday we stopped at Relais Hebert. It is now my official most “nicely equipped relais” in all of Quebec
  14. Just a little snow on the gazebo here at the chalet.....
  15. Home sweet home.....(for the night at least).....
  16. Had a crazy powder day.....Left Faillon a little after 9 a.m. and pulled into Parent at 4 pm with a long lunch break in Clova thanks to the 7 Québécois who broke trail for us and the two groomers we passed today. Little hairy from Faillon to Clova but then just darn fun all the way into Parent. Still snowing good here. We stopped for a half hour or so and had a glass of water and a chat with the caretaker at Balbuzzard.
  17. QuebecBob.....what’s up.....she told my buddy at check in you called and canceled hope all is well........
