  1. Not sure maybe next week. I took a small ride around today but surely nothing to brag about. Utter junk. Trails are trashed bad.
  2. Out today with Triggerhappy and the lovely miss Belinda. Local ride east to Champlain then Batiscan and up through St Anne de la Perade. Then 3/23 and then 23 to a Local trail. Belinda's favorite I am sure, then it took us up to 73 about 7km outside of St Raymond. Big mistake. Railbed 73 in all my years in QC i never seen it so trashed. Bumpy and used up. Then 353 St Ubalde for lunch. back on 302 then to 351 to 3 to get back home. Junk Junk Junk and did I mention Junk. A few places no so rough but by QC standards, utter crap. Warm temps and high traffic equals utter decimation of the trails. They are used up bad. The company was great but trails left a lot to be desired. Pray for cold.
  3. Nope never blew belt ever in 4000 miles.
  4. Built right before yours probably.
  5. Farmers are threatening to close trails through their land it is the same group as always in years past, the UPA. Basically is the "Union of Agricultural Producers" in english. They are upset about new taxes imposed by the Quebec Government on them. So this is there way of basically using there land to hold the govt hostage and us along with it. "They cut off their nose to spite their face" if you ask me. As closing trals would just be a big F-You to their own towns and neighbors. The ones who work in hotels, auberges, gas stations, restaurants and snowmobile dealerships etc, etc. they however do not see it that way. So that is the way it is. Right now I have read there will be no closure. They meet again next week. I highly doubt the government wants to lose all the money from tourism which they will if they don't satisfy farmers. Farmers are smart this is a much better way to have them by the balls(the govt) in the middle of a great season. Then to threaten in fall when there is no snow yet. Time for permanent trail agreements with the farmers they want something need to give something. Ridiculous we need to be going through this ever other few years.
  6. Way to start it off Tom, nice run. You hit it just right. Nice!
  7. Interesting, but no hits to this sled.
  8. ? Not sure what u mean? But no problems whatsoever before this.
  9. 1200 Enduro update it's fixed was broken Valve Spring and they said it twisted the valve. Had to pull head to replace valve. No damage to head or piston they say. 4000 miles on it.
  10. 19 January -2C close to 3" new snow yesterday and last night. Cloudy now
  11. I cannot predict the future, however usually yes the River is safe in March. It can be fast or can be very up and down depending on snow fall. Hard to predict. Gets whooped up. It's not groomed. For Lunch and Fuel depends....you tell me what is your route to Roberval? Up 73 to 83 to Roberval? (Lunch Marineau) right as you arrive in La Tuque is just across the street. Gas further into town trail goes right by in the back. Or 355 through Lac Edouard to Roberval? Skip La Tuque use 355 to LT1 then 73 to 355 north. Gas and Lunch at Domaine Lac Edouard.

  16. Weather fine for weekend. Showing warm just at freezing. Then could be Rain monday and tuesday, unless things change. But showing +6c and rain Tues right now. That is not the end of things but will be a setback.
  17. Around but not sure if I will ride. Depends where. Free weekend a bit crazy.
  18. 18 Jan -5c had light dust of snow overnight. Cloudy now.
  19. Went 187 KM on her today had more left in it. Not alot but a few more miles. Lac Edouard to Lac a Tortue(Shawinigan) and I was not taking any prisoners. So 116 miles. That run. She's a goer.
  20. No call yet. When I know it will be here. They were jammed with work. Plus, they know he is not coming back up yet so the sled is low on the priority list for them right now. For sure I will let you all know
  21. express trip back home. 8:30 departure from Hotel Roberval. Retraced exact route used yesterday trails very good. 360 from St Joseph rough. This trail is a thorn in my side. Light traffic. But some. In driveway at 2:55pm. A good ride back under not so great circumstances. 242 miles. Our Thoughts are with you and your Family our friend. Safe Travels.
  22. Snowman sounds to me like you need to update your contacts.....call this guy then deploy smoke to signal for rescue. Easy.
  23. Howdy all, Today Monday we left my house 6 Strong. A big group by Team Standards. NHmoose, Playhard, Mark, Brad, Colin and myself. A planned 4 day run to LSJ. For me a Shakedown run with my new(to me) Apex. Got a late start. Well let's rewind. Yesterday Playhard called from our Yamaha dealer. He was picking up the trailer then coming to drop my sled to me and continue to Gouverneur hotel to meet up with the others who arrived earlier in tge day. Seems he had 2 issues, one being the trailer "foot" was locked frozen 2" deep in ice. The other being the locks also frozen solid. He was dealing with the Locks but the trailer foot needed some added persuasion. He had no impliments of destruction on board so i loaded up with my trusty AX just for situations like this and my blow torch. 15 minutes down. 5 minutes he is free. Off to my house. We got ourselves a convoy. We get there unlatch back door. We pull down on it. Hmmmm kind of stuck. Well we really pull on it now. Bad Idea. We proceed to break the bottom hinge right off as it was frozen solid. We ripped the bolts right out of the aluminum. The only thing holding it on is the two cables, one each side. Rut Ro. I aint scared. Quuckly its decided all sleds unloaded now at my house. and trailer back to Pierre as its gonna be useless as no way to load back up. We get sleds out. Door drops 4" on bottom but is still attached by cables. They get it to go back up. But it is too low to latch. Time for ratchet straps. Door "secure" i follow them back down to drop trailer. In case door fell off the I coukd at least try to explain in french to police what was up. Adventures before we even put on helmets. Trails from Shawinigan super. TQ3 to m-5 to TQ23. Then 360 to St Joseph. They must have got the memo cause it was groomed nicely. Onward 360 to 355 pipeline to LT1. All excellent. 73 to 355 again and gas Lac Edouard. 355 to Lac Bouchette, again no Scorpionbowl made for good luck(sorry Gary) as 355 was very nice. Gas in Bouchette and on to 83 freshly groomed to Roberval. 242. Miles. Unfortunately the trip will end tmmrw for myself and one other. Some things are much more important than trails. Family comes first. I will see that we get back to Shawinigan together. So he can go be where he needs to be at this time. The others will continue on. I'm sure Playhard will check in with their progress. Until next time. Remember what is most important.
