first i want to say that a " good trail " is different as we know for each person you ask that said the following is my opinion on the trails I have been on the past weekend's storm did wonders for conditions for sure however more snow is really still needed received at least 12" here in Shawinigan area I was up in Saguenay tried to outsmart the weatherman but turns out it snowed more here at home then up there. Trails overall shaping up nicely for sure Spent the past few days with Scorpionbowl and ran into Longriderss and a friend of his too. Sunday saw lots of freezing rain and sleet and very little snow overall in Saguenay from this sysytem (except throough the park down the 175 to Quebec lots of snow fell there compared to what I saw before the storm on the way up. Lots of snowmobilers around Mt. Valin for sure. Most trails not quite ready yet. (Just my 2 cents) Some still real rough needing more snow like the 328 and the 368 93 real nice from 367 intersection to intesection of 93 and 23 in alma Major bumps near Valinouet in mt valin and the Bra Louis was like a snowcross track (moguls 2 feet high) too much traffic and no grooming for 6 days is probably better already but when I say was crazy believe it. I thought I was at Old Forge or something for sure not up to Quebec trail standards All in all not bad for what it is Still Very Early even for Quebec Stopped in St Raymond to check things out and was very impressed Fantastic Base and nicely groomed (a bit icy but hey I'll take it) rode not very much just the 73 to rivere pierre very good after that turned rougher and was groomed but not recently rode back to Roquemont lots of trucks and trailers for sure both in st raymond at Roquemont and at the Saguennee in Chicoutimi Returned back home to find the groomer has been by the house and trail 3 looks nice will take a burn around the neighborhood trails wed and report back If we can get this storm to dump on us this fri and sat then it will be real sweet Iceman out hey salut Scorpionbowl safe trip home buddy catch you soon

Still snowing and blowing here in Shawinigan Very fine snow blowing all around hard to say how much right now about 6-8 inches for sure should snow through the night nice to see it here its a start
-
Snowing and blowing nice fine little flakes they say now could be up to 40 cm in some places will update later today
-
There is a snowfall warning for much of Quebec as you probably all know Will report more as I watch it fall later today Nice and Cold here and feels like snow for sure Calling for up to 30 cm here in Shawinigan We shall see Bring It
-
much colder the past week or so now here in Shawinigan Some ice on small ponds and swamps here too Ice on the bay near the Comfort Inn (site of the Gran Prix Shawinigan) former site i guess now rivers still NOT frozen zero point zero ice on the Riviere St Mauricie
-
As expected just a dusting here in Shawini But is much colder for sure and the outlook is for more cold throughout the week Long range shows big drop in temps in the next 2 weeks we shall see standing by
-
Snowing here in Shawinigan nothing crazy but is just a beautiful sight to see once again. Calling for not even 5 cm but hey looks better then bare earth. There are some areas that got some snow though through the park on the 175 to Sagenuay for sure has some cover Very hit and miss Is still early but lets hope for a drop in temps and a change of season for real Bring It. Let it Snow

yeah for sure is some big ups and downs on the trail between les Escoumin and all the way to Sept Isles. Nice views of the Seaway going east and west nice run for sure. Both times I was there was plenty of snow and not much traffic Grooming was sweet for sure last year and the year before There is a section between I believe is Forrestville and Baie Comeau where there is a bridge crossing on the main highyway and they have an escort truck for the sleds it waits for sleddeers by the road and then they follow you across keeping your ass covered from the traffic I think is 7 am to 5pm or something but I wouldn't want to play on that bridge in traffic. Not sure of exact hours of operation but is not 24 hrs I know that. Is a long bridge fairly narrow 2 lanes no shoulder really hence the escort truck was different I have never seen this anywhere else in Quebec. (the escort truck) NOT full of Hookers (sorry) Anyway Let it SNOW

Interesting about the gas When was the toronto show snowfarmer? Just seems a bit odd that they would put the gas there at the T of tq 63 as you said (I know where you mean) Who gave the info on this new gas stop? who are the "people at the toronto show"? Club? Tourism? just curious I know a couple seasons back there was a gas halfway or so through the park it was a shack with generator and tank was closed this last year. It's like they knew Joncas would not be open for the gas stop? Or maybe it's just a coincidence. Can't see another gas there to compete with Joncas they had the market cornered so to say down there for sure. They sure do have a heck of alot of fires up in Quebec that is for sure
-
Was nice place for sure Expensive too was way too much Still hate to see any options disappear from the trails I would imagine there will be a gas stop there one way or another no food or rooms but gas is easy. Trailer, generator, tank, and pump bush gas there were many buildings there they all can't be gone was not a forest fire was contained to the lodge as I understand

Never took the ferry from Baie Comeau sounds like an adventure though From Godbout is easy access for sure. Godbout had gas station and had an open motel right across from the gas nothin fancy but it works. Warm and Happy. Ferry is cool trip for sure did it as part of a 2 week trip from Shawinigan to Lac st Jean to Sept Isles and across to Matane from Godbout and back on the south shore and crossing on the truck at Trois Rivere was an awesome ride.

thanks for the info Bob see you for the Thanksgiving ride (snow gods willing of course) Don

I must say the waterfall hot tub is a mystery for sure. I knew alot of places in the video but not that one. Is not the Manoir for sure, Looks like a great place for an after trail cocktail or two.
