107 maybe next time around. The hour is getting late we are heading back. On the way we run into a section of plowed road where there’s logging. I did not check how long but I was happy getting back on the trail.

We stopped in Degelis for gas. Then went to trail 550. We spot the NB 107 to Lac Baker.

We see a lot of maple trees and sugar shacks along the way. The moon is showing this afternoon.

We stay on 571 passed Squatec and head toward Degelis. The trail hasn’t been groomed since the last snow. It’s powdered in some sections.

Reverse order again. As we head toward Squatec the trail is fresh groomed.

There’s lots of powder on the trail. We make our way toward Lac Saint-Jean and the trails get better.

We head off on 571. It’s a bit windy there is some drifting on the trail. We stop for gas at St-Jean-De-Dieu. I get a fuse for Gemma. We are off.

We pass the for sale Isle Verte clubhouse. We make Our way to Trois Pistoles clubhouse and take a break. Gemma says her hands are cold. I find that a fuse has blown. The cook at the clubhouse looks in the garage but finds only the large size fuses. We need the mini. I left a bag full back at the hotel.

When we pass the intersection with 565 the trails have power on them from the recent snow. There is some logging on 5. repost of pics.

Oops pictures are out of order again. we make our way back to 85 then 5 east. The trails are in top shape.

We take 85 toward the chute to check out the view. We hop on the local to the lookout. It’s the first time over here. You can see the north shoreside. It’s a nice view. I can see the bridge that goes over the falls. The trees are kind of blocking it.

We get going about 8:30. It’s 28 degrees and sunny. Trail 526 is groomed again this morning. It seems like the club works real hard keeping the trail nice here around town.

Day 12 232 Miles Time fly’s when you’re having fun. It’s our last day on the white trail.

Yes I picked a day before going on vacation and printed it out.

I passed through about a week ago. The easiest gas is on the trail out of Gaspe at the multiGaz station. Then out of Perce into Grande Rivière at the shell station.

Hi Jak, I was talking to Mike last night and he said that average fuel mileage is on my gauge. I have been writing down info at all my fill ups but usually do all the math when I get home. I am going to look at the manual and check the gauge for Thursday. This has been a warm trip but don’t dare take Gemma’s power cords away 😂

We make our way to the Explorers club and take 526. We take a short local back to 5 and make our way back to the hotel. We met Mike and went out for dinner. Another great day in Quebec.

The local is short. 35 is smooth with fluff on top. We make haste.

When we get back on the trail it’s snowing pretty hard. The trail is accumulating a good amount. We make our way West to a short local that connects to TQ35.

We make our way to 5 and 557. There is not much traffic today. One group of 5 going East. We stop at the clubhouse for a break.

We get on TQ5 and again happy trails. We make our way west. The snow flakes get bigger as we go. We pass a relais just east of 561. It looks closedown. I remember stopping there a few years ago.

526 is smooth!! The groomer must have been through last night.

Day 11 138 Miles We woke to freezing rain. Feeling a bit lazy this morning we take our time for breakfast. Gemma tells me her feet are getting wet out on the trail. After breakfast we take a drive over to the mall. Google says that Baffin boots are in 3 stores. No luck finding the model she wants. We head over to the dealer. No Baffin boots but Gemma finds a pair she likes. We get back to the hotel and get ready for a ride. It’s 12:15 when we leave. It’s snowing and my gauge says 33 degrees.

Wednesday morning. The freezing rain has stopped. It’s now snowing. I think today is going to be a slow one.
