hi phil !! thank you very much !! happiest guy in town right now,just back from a 70 miles ride to my camp with my 4 wheelers !! jean-guy

finally !! made it to the camp.old sled tracks helped me a lot ,snow was hard packed a bit in the middle of the road.did nt take chances on the way back ,brought the shovel from the camp ,rope and hand puller ( winch ).i was nt sure to make it up on some hills. was nt time to fall in the ditch.probably take 2 weeks before going there with my truck .road still frozen at many places ,icy or muddy .not time to make big ruts on the road . groomer !!!

thanks for the extra info.i thought about that ,30 ,000 + pics .could be the problems.back in the mid 80 ' s ,i had bought a minolta maxxum 7000 (35 mm )and at that time i was taking tons of pics of mx racing and one day all my pics were ugly or completely black if i can say that .too much dust inside the camera.the guy where i had bought it, asked me :what are doing with your camera ??? ha !! ha !!lot of dust at mx races. sent it to quebec city for a ''clean up '' and never i ll do that again .next time i ll throw my camera to the garbage.they charged me 270.00$ for the clean up and i had paid 440.00$ with a 50mm lens .but i liked that camera . bought another minolta later ,si 500 i think ,something like that and one day went grooming and right at the bottom of last hill before arriving at the st fidele cb ,camera fell on the floor of the machine .my 200 mm lens split in 2 pieces.geeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeezzz !! i was mad !! well ,since about 2 years i m thinking about buying a new one almost everyday,but it s a lot of $$$$$$$$ ,ha !! ha !!about 2 years ago ,my brother bought a nikon d-90 .at first glance ,liked the camera .must decide before starting working in mid may. merci !! jean-guy

since i went in the gaspesie park 3 weeks ago ,i have a few stripes/lines like this time to time on some of my pics.i took 216 pics and about 10/12 pics are like that. could this be a shutter problem ,dust inside the camera or cold temps ??in the gaspesie park if i remember well ,it was -12c/-15c and windy on top .this week when i hit that big snow cloud when i came back from my 4 wheelers ride ,it was cold and some of my pics still have those stripes/lines on the pics. too many pics taken with my camera ????must be over 30,000 in almost 5 years . any ideas ??? thanks !! groomer !!!

i e mailed the pic to friends of mine outside mtl last night .they have a camp 15 miles away from mine .they always enjoy seeing wildlife pics and they are kind of ''home sick ''after some many years in a big city .while typing my e mail ,i noticed that the last 3 digits in the number of the pic were ''666''. ha !! ha !! ha !! jean-guy

''ben '' content to hear from you .won t mind having the br ,but santa claus can t ''blow '' his 2010 ''budget '' only for me !! went riding with my 4 wheelers this afternoon.+8c went i left .once up the hills could see snow (clouds ) coming from the west side .temps began to drop. came back by the truck logging road.from the 12 miles down to the 4 miles ,wow !! nice ''storm '' ,then rain in town. jean-guy

thanks longriderss!! i ll start to ride the 4 wheelers a lot more next week i guess.my brother in law offered me to go with him on park matane to look for mooses antlers!! don t want to miss that !! as soon the weather permit and the snow will get lower on the roads. jean-guy

hi gt rider !! thank you very much !!returned toward my camp this afternoon to check the quantity of snow on the road with my 4 wheelers.turned around about 8 miles before the camp.from where i turned around ,next 2 miles are the roughest to pass there .still too much snow .next 6 miles ,not worried. if we have rain in the next days to come ,i ll be there next week .+10c in town ,but once at the '' 12 miles '' mark on the truck logging road ,lot colder and fleurries !! jean-guy

this afternoon .first one about 12 miles from my camp and 1.5 miles off truck logging road. .second at the 18 miles just off the truck logging road.third one ,at the 16 miles. groomer !!!

thank you all !!! just back from a 50 miles ride with my 4 wheelers .went to check how much snow left on the road to go to my camp at the 18 miles on the truck logging road.i ll have to be patient for 10-12 days i guess .from 1 '' to 1.5 ' left. timbo , your french is very good ,even excellent ,only one little error ... en retard !! don t worry ,i know i still do errors myself !! sunny today ,but still not too warm ,+4c pics from sunrise ,last october at the camp. jean-guy

thank you all !! well , very quiet here at home .ha !! ha !!probably take a few tonight .im very quiet during winter time .i keep it for the summer time !! don t worry for the whole bottle !!! about 2-3 '' of fresh snow up the hills friday morning.temps are not too warm here since a week .probably take 2 weeks before going to the camp with my 4 wheelers .lots of rain last thursday and friday afternoon. fuzzy600ho, my ears problems will be a lifetime one i guess.i have that problem since moose hunting 99.first time it happened ,i spent 1 hrs 30 laying on the ground .unable to stand up .when i stood up , i was walking like a drunk guy .i was 2 miles from my camp .i had to put my hands on the trees to help me walking .just like a very drunk person . when i arrived at the camp ,went directly to the bed .when it happen ,it take all your energy .you re just feel very tired. happened one time while driving in town,it has been hell to go back to the house. :o thats why i guess i don t travel much .this could be very risky .when it happen ,i have about 30 '' to do something .after that ,you become very dizzy like hell and can t even stand up.can happen anytime of the day.never happened while grooming tho.just watch myself every days. merci beaucoup !! thanks again !! jean-guy..........................

hi rfm !! ha !! ha !! imo ,it just depend how thing happen, ''situation ''.looking at mooses ,i can see their ''mood ''change from may to december.the worse period i guess ,late sept to mid oct ,during the rut season .their attitude is different ,they are looking for females and they have ( bulls ) different moods if i can say that. if you don t know much about them ,better not tease them too much.their attitudes can change really fast .if you think they are too close ,just make a little bit of noise to '' wake '' them up. looking at the pics ,can see different ''stages '' of '' mood ''. im on my way to remove the signage on tq 5 ,sunny and 0 c. groomer !!!

hi timbo !! right !! still a loooong way to dec.back in 01 i think ,went grooming up to ste marguerite ( tq 5) on april 5 th.first pic ,just on the other side of the brook at the camp and the second one ,camp is 1.5 miles on the other side of the mountain. we had to stay on hard packed snow friday on the way to the camp .snow was too rotten on the side of the trails.we should have lots of rain next week ,so i think i could make it up to my camp with the 4 wheelers maybe around april 25th .won t be surprised.24c this afternoon. if weather is not too bad , ill try to ride my 4 w as much as possible to find moose antlers at the end of april . have a nice and safe summer too and hope to see you in july or august !! groomer !!!

spent the week end at the lake .it has been very warm yesterday and still today .could be the last week end for sledding . went to the camp friday for about 1 hrs. groomer !!!
