went grooming tq 5 instead of going up to albertville .about 8-12 '' .snow was like sand ,probably because of all the freezing rain last night .very heavy to groom . conditions are a lot better .just need cold temps.sky has been dark and grey most of the day .saw the sun for the first time since 7-8 days for about 1 hrs. saw 5 sleds . - 2 c here right now .guy from albertville was up early this morning . groomer !!!

met smclelan and his friend rick at the clubhouse around 11 am.they were on their way to ste anne des monts using local trails . coldsmoke, this can give you an idea ,earlier this morning guys from houlton ,maine signed the guestbook .it was written 270 miles ,so this can give you an idea from where they left ???did nt see those guys . about 2 '' of fresh snow right now and still snowing .i should be on tq 5 early tuesday morning.must go back to albertville tomorrow to fix a few little things on the machine . smclelan said from cross point to the st fidele cb, it was groomed . -4 c and should be colder by tuesday . groomer !!!

hi rigmey !! thanks !! read a few posts this week on the french forum .looks like the south side of the gaspesie is very poor .a guy from bonaventure said it rained or ''grizzle '' last week for 2 days and they had lost most of their snow . this morning a guy from pabos ( chandler )wrote that they were still on grass!! can t remember where i saw that ,matane area ( tq 5 ) was partially groomed ,last week . right now here ,its snowing lightly .from what i ve read ,from here to rimouski and maybe more west ,it s rideable ,but don t expect february conditions . must go to the clubhouse !! groomer !!!

coldsmoke !! just checked a few trail conditions posts on the french forum from the 14th up to dec 20 th. a guy went from st georges to st théophile (south ).rideable but not the greateast conditions . another one ,guy went from armagh to tourville and st phamphile ,guy said looks like winter there ,riding was acceptable +. st magloire area looks not bad.thetford mines area ,looks like they need more . quantity of snow vary from places to places .some places are acceptable ,others need more snow .not too many posts about trail conditions in that area . groomer !!!

just fyi!! just back from a 50 miles ride in the woods .smclelan ,went up to a quarter mile from the camp of my friend at the lake . there s alot of humidty in the air.so ,while riding i was listening to a riki radio station ,for tomorrow morning chances of snow and rain and freezing rain in the afternoon . before posting , i checked on the weather channel ,mont joli airport ,yesterday they were announing up to 4 '' of snow ,now for tomorrow +1 c and 15 mm of of rain . don t want to discourage you but.....BETTER TAKE A CLOSE LOOK AT THE FORECAST. should be -9 c for tuesday .i don t know who to believe for the forecast !! :wacko: coldsmoke ,i did nt check but ,whats the closest city in pq to armstrong ???? just to give me a place to start my search ??? groomer !!!

here s a pic of mount nicol albert from a few weeks back.trail 595 is down in the valley.i was 15-20 miles west of the faribault camp ,up the hills .la cache is about 35 miles behind me . since 4-5 years ,im alone to groom my territory ,last winter i did a few weeks of 60-65 hrs of grooming .like i said to another member , i groom ,sleep ,computer and start all over .february to the second weeks of march,can be rough and tough .i said it before ,grooming hrs lke that ,i ''wake up '' in april ,ha !! ha !! feel asleep most of the time . groomer !!!

great pics of the mooses !! a few weeks back ,i went to look for mooses .where i turned around ,i was nt too far from mount nicol albert .looking at your pic ,i was a little bit more on the left side of your pic and a few miles south . groomer !!!
