Oh! and what's the trail like south of the turn off for Rabaska? Thanks JG
  4. Thanks Kaz,just spoke with Martin at Rabaska,he told me Club gatineau is open this year. I filled my tank up at Club Gatineau last year when i went up to Clova this way, from the reports i'm reading from this thread and others it sounded like Rabaska was the last stop for fuel to Relais L'Evasion some 200+klms???? JG

  6. Would you have the phone number for that school house,i believe it is runned by the guy that owns the resto Clova,i would like to call ahead, hate to arrive there at 6pm to hear we're full.
  7. Thanks guys, any info on when they're going to rebuild Forsythe and if the trail will continue to pass through his front yard again. Hospitality was always very comforting there and that fireplace ohhh that fireplace there was a few told around there.JG
  8. Relais Evasion....was that the old relais McDough? I went up there last year through Club Gatineau, his driveway/trail(11klms) was ploughed all the way. Also they had ploughed chemin Lepine all the way to McDough,is this the case this year? JG
  9. Sounds like alot of fun,i hope the weather changes. http://www.theweathernetwork.com/weather/caqc0449
  10. I'm planning a 3 day loop from Mt.Laurier to Val d'Or through the parc, then over to Clova and reurn to Mt.Laurier from the 20th to the 22nd,i heard there had been some problems with the trail from La Domaine to the Joncas/Louvicourt intersection(L'Ours Blanc web site said it was closed) but i've been hearing about riders going through on a single path trail, does anyone have some up to date information on this trail. I was up in Abitabi last season entering the region via Clova, between Balbuzard and Lac Fallion was a detour(due to a forest fire i heard) it had got to be the worst trail i've ever been on in this region and Abitabi is known for their wide, flat fast trail system,i hope there was something done about that nastyness. Can someone bring me up to date on this. Thanks, love to go back, was a blast when i was there last season. JG
  11. Well thanks guys for the warm welcome.
  12. Hi everyone i'm new to the site, been riding for the last 18 years and averaging 8-10 k/yr.,a friend of mine introduced to me Quebecrider earlier in the season,i found the site very informative for the style of riding i do,last weekend i was in the Lac St.Jean region riding with some friends when i had the privlidge of meeting and chatting with Sagenauy Bill at the Holiday Inn in Chicoutimi,I was immediately inspired to become a member afterwards. I hope someday to ride with some of the members and perhaps participate in social events.
