  1. 20-40cm along the river means 60 cm on top of Mt Valin! This is also forecast around Baie Comeau, this is great news. They have very little snow last winter.
  2. Do you have the machine parked at the gas station in Causpscal? The snow does look thin in the fields. Maybe you will get a bit of snow from the storm forecast for the Mont Joli west area tomorrow. Good to see you finally have enough snow to get the machine out. It should be good grooming from Ste Margarite to the CB. I will be there next week.
  3. I escond what 93vwgti recommends, the Passion. They had done a huge facelift to the place since back in 2008. I was there last winter, they have good, clean, reasonably price rooms, safe parking, and a resturant with decent food right there.
  4. They say every family has one black sheep!
  5. Happy Birthday Guys, hope you both have a good one.
  6. The L'Ascension, St Alexis area will only be an issue if you travel on the 587 South. Correct?
  7. Hopefully this winter they will be stopped. It must have been very expensive to keep the roads open there last winter.
  8. Groomer can you do some checking around to see if they are still putting up windmills and transmission lines in the Mt Louis, Mont Saint Pierre area. Yhey had the trails plowed bare in several spot on the North shore of the Gaspesie last winter.
  9. WOW!! I didn't know you could play the drums Jean Guy. Very funny, well done.
  10. This is not 100% the truth!! I am exactly not sure on how permission to snowmobile is dealt with in Quebec, however just because it is crown doesn't give a person the right to ride. There are areas restricted in the Mt Valin area one of which is at La Hutte where sledding is not permitted. Also areas like the Zec that Scorpionbowl mentioned are private areas. To be sure you are in an area where sledding is permitted I recommend contacting the local club by email and getting specifics from them.
  11. The 587 was rerouted about 3 years back. The trail is now very scenic, travel along the river valleys. I would recommend it for sure.
  12. Conditions can be as they have described, however I have gone through several times and it is table top perfect. I certian;y would recommend staying off that trail if there is a storm forecast or storming at the time, even with a GPS!
  13. Hmmm.......You must have photo-shopped that beer into my hand!!
  14. Thia is going to be the biggest QuebecRider Gathering ever!
  15. From what I have heard, that could be most anywhere!!!
  16. We always find things to do while hiking/snoeshoeing!!
  17. Well I am damn sure it won't be either one of us!! We have been passed by old people!!
  18. We can drink wine up there next year for sure! I can carry you down after drinking wine the same as I do when you drink beer!! LOL
  19. It is especially enjoyable when you have a great guide! (even if he does drink beer at the top of the hill) The scenery is spectacular!!
  20. I have traveled Quebec with a lowly 600 ETEC as well as with a 177hp Cat. 99 times out of 100 the 600 is more than enough, however for that one time....... A good friend told me once "I would rather be looking at it, than for it"!! Sound familiar?? LOL 5 weeks till the first Gaspesie trip my friend!!
  21. I had to look twice, I thought it was me, same helmet and jacket!! Looks like heading into the Mt Valin area from the St Lawrence River.
  22. Hmmm?? You would think QuebecRider.com would be in the link section of the web site.
  23. You had better get ready Jean Guy, it will be more than just one night!! There will be people landing in the Gaspesie for several days before and likely as many after Saturday night. You will have to sneak out late at night and groom the trails!
