  1. Bill, sounds like things are shaping up nicely for you up there. I was supposed to leave with a crew to shawinigan last Friday but the blizzard had me snowed in until this afternoon. Now I have no travel companion from CT. If anyone is heading up and needs or has room for one more please let me know!!
  2. Bill, thinking of heading out towards Parent to ride. Anyone in particular I should talk to about that area, never rode that way before but I heard they just got a bunch of snow. Thoughts?
  3. Salivating over todays ride Bill, thanks for bringing me along via imagination, man I wish I could get back up there for two or three days......
  4. I am selling my 2007 Apex GT with 11500 canadian miles on her. Excellent condition, suspension and front bushings serviced by pioneer performance 2000 miles ago. Rear suspension components upgraded by "Half baked" suspensions. All rear wheels have been replaced with updated OEM wheels. Oil and Filter changed every season before storage. Track is studded with 144 in the center and in excellent condition. Asking 4500.00
  5. Bill, glad you all enjoyed the food. My family has requested that I make it for them, so I will be having it again soon. Next year I will be sure to bring extra!! Didn't sleep well last night, thinking about paradise too much I suppose?
  6. Bill, thanks again for a great week up there. We had a blast riding with you and the Gutz brothers. Sorry one of them got hurt pulling Nigel out. We left at 6 this morning and got back at 5pm, not bad considering we had to return Nigels sled to SMSport in St Foy. Next year we rent from Evasion. It was great to see you and the rest of you family while we were there. I hope you got to taste the pulled pork I left for you, your English friends and Mrs Bill were conspiring on how to hide it from you! PS, in the future please try to avoid being towed by Brian it could be hazardous to your health! LOL
  7. We just got back last night, we rode from St Foy to the HI Saturday, pleanty of snow just needs grooming. Sunday heading into the Mountains it was nice, pleanty of snow. It the temps go up this week you will have typical March Madness riding, but lots of snow up there.
  8. Just got back from 2.5 days of riding, ended up with 650 miles. Started in St Foy on Saturday, major visibility issues with a light mist and warm temps creating major fog. Trailes were a bit choppy on 3 all the way past claremont to 83 up to the Holiday Inn. Pleanty of snow but not ideal grooming conditions. Sunday morning was nice and clear temps around 20F, left the Holiday inn on 367 and crossed the river up to 93 and the trails were mint! Stopped at Auberge 31 for a bite to eat and then headed out accross the lake amd took a nice loop 241/242 local trails which were single track, smooth, and very scenic. 93 all the way down to Sacre-Coeur was perfect, got on ferry and picked up 3 west. As expect, the next 70-80 miles to the casino was absolutely horrible. This area never seems to be groomed when we ride it, oh well, we sucked it up and were ready for the hot tub once we got there! 250 miles this day, most of which was awesome. Monday morning once again very clear and around 20F, local trail out to 383 was choppy but the groomer had hit 383 and 377. Once we got out to 3 the groomer went East towards the ferry and we were going West, damn! 3 back to St Foy was good and very bad at times, the power lines closer to Quebec were horrible, but the last 20 miles to St Foy were groomed. Still pleanty of snow up there and as long as the temps hold you've got a couple more weeks to ride.
  9. Price drop, gotta go, $7000 firm
  10. I am selling my 2009 Apex RTX with 3500 miles on it. Sled is studded and very very clean. Only ridden in Canada on groomed trails, no off trail riding. Missing about 4-6 studs, recently did oil change, gear oil, and slides 700 miles ago. Willing to deliver to Quebec in two weeks $7500.00
  11. Pauldking, I would drive to the HI or stay in Quebec city, like it was previously posted, alot more choices for rides from the HI. Driving distance is essentially the same. You can ride to the Casino via the Clermont express and have lunch there then return to the HI! Just got back from that ride and all the trails were really good, the only area that was just ok was the 20 miles in and out of Quebec city, it was icey
  12. Well we arrived in Sainte-Foy on Friday night and were on the trail by 8am Saturday morning. 3 for the first 15-20 miles east was mediocre at best and very icey. Once we got out of the town area the conditions improved a bit but the trail was a bit choppy. After St Anne de Beaupre the trail was much smoother all the way through Clermont to 83. The 36 miles burn on 83 Nord to the warming hut at intersection 383. We took 383 up a bit then crossed over to 83 via a local trail and that was very nice. 83 remained good the rest of the way to the Holiday Inn, just the normal warn out conditions as you get within 6 miles of the hotel. All in we did about 240 miles. On Sunday Saguenay Bill took us on the infamous Tour Du Lac Saint Jean. We left at 7:45 on the dot, those who have ridden with Bill know two things, 1. be on time in the morning 2. empty your bladder because you will do 60-80 miles before your first break! Anywho, the trails were beautiful all day, 383, 367, 328, and the local trails connecting us back down to 83 South of the lake were just awesome. Once again lunch at Relais De Buttes was great and we were back at the HI by 3:30 to see the final laps of the Daytona 500. All in another 240 mile day! Monday morning we decided to leave around 8:15 and headed South for Charlevoix, we decided to take the Clermont express (83) so we would get to the Casino a bit earlier and enjoy the ammenities (aka Hot Tub, Pool, Casino). 83 was still very very choppy all the way down to 3, at which point we took 3 est for about 7 miles to the relais only to find out that they are only open on the weekends! Turned around back 3 west down towars Clermont for gas and then Saint Urbain for food, 3 was in great shape. The trails off of 3 heading down to the Casino were a mogul fest, horrible. About 160 miles today. On Tuesday morning we got up and were on the trail by 7am and laid down tracks for Sainte Foy. Trail out to 378 from the casino was groomed, 378 to 377 was groomed, 377 to 3 was perfect, and 3 all the way until about 20 miles from Saint Foy was perfect!! We did about 150 miles and were back at the truck shortly after 11am! Great day, great riding once again in this area. About 800 miles in 3 1/2 days!
  13. Started at Hotel Motel 232 in Montmagny Saturday morning, a bit rough for the first two miles. Took the 5 up to RDL and then on to Rimouski. Trail was in pretty good condition all day, was a bit wet/slushy and getting down to Hotel Rimouski was a nightmare (made me want a set of skiwheels). Sunday we heading east on 578 to 579 to 5, all was good with some small studder bumps, got down to 548 and from St Narcisse to Sqautec it was a nightmare! Whooped out bad and pure mud and rocks in certain sections, very very very bad. Had lunch in Sqautec and headed back north on 571, this was relly nice riding. Got on 5 north back towards St Eugene and took the 518 back around south towards Trois Pistoles. Got on the 5 and headed to RDL for the night. 5 and 518 were really nice riding. Monday morning at 7:30 we headed out on 5 back to Montmagny, groomer was out all night, but the cold tems made it pure ice and we basically were stopping every 10 miles to cool down the sleds and get some snow on the slides. Groomer looks to have stopped somwhere around 557 intersection and it was pretty bad until intersection 553, but there was good snow still. Nice from there back to Montmagny, but three miles from hotel 232 its bad, mud, rocks, ect. All in all, it was about 70% good, 15% bad, and 15% down right ugly!! But we got 640 miles in and we didn't think we were going to go three days prior to that so I am thankful for one last ride of the season. 2800 miles this year, not bad!
