  1. Sounds like fun Bill..........thanks and maybe we'll see you. tThank the old guy who started this site.........and you.
  2. 3645 0n my sled.............45 on rented Cat in Wyo and hopefully 100 more this weekend on my kids in NH..........
  3. You got it smc, that is a beatiful trail...........my Apex with no carbides was a bit of a handful on that trail........as a matter of fact another group almost caught up with us (A first time ever, honest) but we wicked it up some and never saw them again. Beautiful trail no doubt. That was a 370 or so mile day from Godbout up to Les Escoumins and then up to Chapelle and on to Jonquiere. Gonna try and get one more ride in if circumstances allow..............
  4. Hey bobler, whatever you get , get me one too. i'll catch you later for it..............oh yah..............you missed it.
  5. Last week in Togwotee..............GPS track
  6. [attachme t=2210:Feb_08_031.jpg] Random shots
  7. I'll answer that, you get the money, I'll race it with you. I might even go for run this afternoon to begin my training.........................
  8. Yah, both Bobler and I had GPS so that helped but the trail ran out on my map. I have the track saved if anyone wants it. It was groomed to perfection the whole way and we had a three way Motocross battle to the relay at Chapelle in the dark...........trading paint the last ten miles.....was hilarious.
  9. Old Alyre is a character alright.............Ran into him years ago and again 2 years ago with some guys I know from Ct who transplanted from NB. Kinda out there in the boonies and a good sight when the gas gauge is low. Planning a trip there in a few weeks if the snow keep. The fellas who know him build the logging roads up there so they take us on these roads nobody rides on for miles. Nice area up there.
  10. Who is that handsome guy Caribou for you
  11. That first few miles going west from Godbout is incredible............I'd love to have that trail to myself on a snocrosser with all those hills and dips............took me a while to get the kinks out on the Apex but what a beautiful area. Have you tried that new trail from LesEscoumins to Chappelle? It's not on all the maps but may be the nicest trail in Quebec...........123KM of beauty. Saw one sled all the way. Remember this place? Thats the last picture my camera took...............shortly before getting run over and destroyed by a strategically placed stud...............
  12. Great report, we did almost the exact trip 3 weeks ago except we went from the ferry to the HI the same day coming down south to Chapel relay from the north on some top secret outfitter trails................what a ride tho, huh?
  13. Pretty sure I met Jackstraw at the Lac Edouard clubhouse waiting for my tow truck...............If so........real nice guy.
  14. Aint ya gonna be ridin then...........lots of snow left up there.
  15. Nice job guys..............we're gonna give you one more year to win then Bobler and I will have to take over....................Cheers. Now you can go for a trailride, maybe we'll see you out there.
  16. Bobler, you there yet? Got in at about 7 I would guess.................
  17. Bill, It was nice seeing you again, looks like you are getting some miles in.............We, well I should say I, ended up with 980 miles, Bobler and pal made it farther somewhere around 1300. My driveshaft bearing gave out around Lac Edward(sp). Great ride on some new trails this time. You should try that trail from Chapelle to Les Escoumins if you get the chance. Bring a GPS and a map and you'll be fine. Is Rob back up there already? I'm gonna try and get up again soon, till then stay right.
  18. Yah, I really wont be going far untill Wednesday. Gonna meet up with Boblers rental crew and try to get some miles on. Should be interesting.
  19. Nice pics Rob...............came right through there Sunday..................great conditions up there huh? Gonna be in Qc Sunday to week from Monday............not sure where but somewhere.
  20. Merci Beaucoup................
  21. Sounds easy.........I'll try it.
  22. I was thru there Monday and it was a little light on snow and very hard packed don't know what they got for snow today but any would make it good. Ride north and east and you will be OK. We rode from Sherbrooke to Lac St Jean and back and thru the park near Letape the snow was the best I've ever seen. Some of the fields off trail 83 had more than 4 feet of powder. Played as much as time allowed.
  23. RWS, Thanks again for the Quebec maps. I have put on 2600 miles so far and find your maps very accurate and helpful especially at night and in bad visibility. I looked over your tutorial on map making and my head hurts.......how did you learn this stuff. I have a question.........I'd like to create a route to follow on my next trip north. Is it possible to create a route with turn by turn nav with your maps and a 60 CS? I have tried to do it but I don't want to destroy any maps or tracks I already have. Any guidance would be appreciated. I don't know how we got along before these devices. Rode 880 miles this weekend and knew where I was at all times. Thanks in advance.
