  1. i live in cleveland and has an uncle who lives in a little town called angliers just north of temiscamingue. As of last week he was looking at the grass. This week they got about five inches and the trails are not open around there. We usually run from there up through rapid sept 170 miles to forestel and over to amos and lac faillon. Id make some phone calls first maybe. Im waiting to go up also. already spent 240 on trail permit. good luck.
  2. Hi lagman. Im from cleveland ohio and been riding quebec for 10 years. Rode many other places, UP, new york, Nothing compares to riding in quebec. Our family has a house in a small town called Angliers, only about an hour south from rouyn so maybe you've heard of it with your hunting trips. I ride with my brother and we are always looking for people to ride with. As soon as they get more snow we are on our way up. DO you know what part of quebec you want to ride?
  3. I was up there 2 weekends ago during the thaw and the trail into motel safari had not been groomed yet. WHen we left to come home 2 days earl the trails were bare and not worth the drive. Unless they got a foot of snow since than i would consider somewhere else. if you do go there we had to stay in the next town over (grand mere) at hotel ten. Only ten minutes from motel safari and you can catch the trail right from there. good luck
  4. Its not a short haul thats for sure. 700 miles one way owell we will be back as soon as they get snow
  5. I drove up wednesday night and arrived early thursday morning in grand mere. Temps were still cold and rode 318 to 349 down to lac blanc. Trails were not bad for the early season however after the warm temps they had im sure they are mostly bare. Friday i trailered across the river and ran 351 north to 360 up the pipeline to la tuque. 351 was a litle rough but had plenty of snow and the pipeline was 9 out of 10. Fresh groomed trail the whole way. Ate lunch and than ran down 73 which was also groomed all the way down to casimer. 302 back to grand mere was rough and needed snow badly. Drove back home 3 days early due to rain and warm temps.
  6. Thanks for the information. Ill check again wednesday before i leave.
  7. does anyone have any information on the trails starting around shawinigan heading north up towards la tuque and lac st jean. driving up wednesday night. Thank you.
  8. Coming from cleveland ohio. I had a trip planned to abitibi with brother and he just canceled. Im looking to ride out near st.donat area or maybe start near motel safari (shawinigan) ill be up thursday morning and riding for 4 or 5 days over new years if anyones interested.
  9. abitibi is good and has a good amount of snow and all trails are being groomed. As far as riding to abititi im not sure whats available. Im trailering there the 29th for a 5 day ride. Temps are very low up there
  10. The latest i heard is that lac joncas burned down once again. 2nd time in the past 6 or 7 years. Not sure if that trail through joncas and the park is open because there is no where to fuel in between.
