  1. Bill. Are you still riding the ACE? Do you like it? How good is the mileage? The riding hasn't been that great here in New Brunswick the last couple of weeks since the melt down, got a couple of small storms lately, things are looking up for the weekend. Doesn't look like I will get up to your area again this year. ttyl
  2. Bill. We all had a great time, Diesel made it back home on the spyder without adding any bad fuel, although he did have a small set back with a state trooper!!! Great time. The prime rib dinner was awesome. thanks again Dooboy----- Roger, Ross, Rob
  3. Bill. Thanks for taking the time to keep us posted, I look forward to reading your posts each day, hopefully next year will be a better year. We still hopefully should have another 4-6 weeks of sledding here in northern New Brunswick depending when it decides to turn cold again. I guess we were very lucky we took our trip to your area last week instead of waiting, overall trails were good and we seen alot of beautiful country. Bill......I noticed on your sleds you have some kind of guages on the dash of your sleds, what are they for? Hopefully see you again next year if we decide to come back your way. Thanks Dooboy ( Roger )
  4. Andyman. Sounds like you had quite a trip, 6 of us left Edmunston on Feb 12, stayed in Montmagny, trails for the most part were decent, the next day we sledded to Levis and caught the shuttle from trail # 75 to trail # 73 at motel Colibri. We then went to st. raymond, trails conditions on Feb 13 were very warm and the sled traffic was incredible, we continued on trail # 23 to L'tape, trails were rough in most places, we took trail # 368, 383 to Jonquiere, trails were poor, excessive traffic. O Feb 14th & 15th we did loops in the lac st. jean and mont valin areas, trails were excellent in most of the northern areas, less traffic and lots more snow. We had lunch at scoobyraid, its a pretty cool spot, (outfitters) Talked to Saguanay Bill a few times, he was helpful and informative. We started for home on Feb 16th, trails had been groomed the night before leaving the HI, the 368 was excellent, the 23 was awesome, we took trail # 369 from L'tape to Lac Beauport, this trail has some of the nicest scenery you have ever seen. We had a bit of trouble finding our way from here to catch the #3 from there we went back to trail # 73 to motel Colibri and caught the shuttle back across the river, trails and snow conditions were marginal in this area. We stayed at Berniers motel, very nice spot. Feb 17th we left for Pohenegamook, we stayed at the lodge, all trails on the south side of the river were awesome 5,35 as well as the smaller side trails. Feb 18 we did several other side trail loops and headed back to the quality in in Edmunston. We did 1300 miles, no break downs or other mishaps, it was a very good trip. My 1200 renegade ran flawlessly, it is a pleasure to drive and sure made the rough areas on sat. bearable. all in all a great time was had by all hopefully will be doing at least 3 days in QC next year.
  5. We were in the Mont Valin area on Feb 16th, excellent conditions in that area and Lac St. Jean areas. But going back into Jonquiere the snow was melting fast. Better conditions on the south side of the st. lawrence
  6. Bill. We made it back to Edmunston, NB yesterday afternoon. We all had a great trip with no breakdowns or issues of any kind, most areas were well signed and with a map things went well, like you told us, you have to know what areas the groomer went the night before, some areas were great, some areas rough. We rode 1300 miles in 6 days. The Saguenay and Lac st. jean, Mont Valin areas were great, Scoobyraid is a cool spot. I would recommend the HI to anyone staying in the area, everyone was friendly and not being able to speak much french wasn't a problem. Going home we took trail # 369 from L'tape, to St Charles what an awesome trail with amazing scenery. Not much snow from St Charles back to hotel Colibri, the snow conditions on both sides of the St. Lawrence are minimal, but passable ( snirt) Bill, thanks for answering questions and helping us out. The 1200 renegade ran flawlessly, just a treat to ride each day. I read your post, it sounds like you really liked the 1200 you rode for the day! It would be nice to ride in your area again and spend more time in the Mont Valin area, maybe next trip! Thanks again dooboy
  7. REVCT1 Thanks for the info The gas stops and trails #'s will be very helpful Thanks again Roger
  8. Need trail advice. How far it it from where you cross the st. Lawrence in Levi to the Holiday Inn in Jonquiere? What trail # is best? thanks dooboy
  9. I have pm, andyman, he has not returned my PM yet. Thanks
  10. We are leaving from Edmunston, NB and sledding to the Saguenay area, what is the best crossing of the St. lawrence to get to the Saguenay area? Do the sleds cross a ferry or need to be trucked? Does the groomed trail go right to the ferry? If so what trail # What is the cost? Does anyone have a schedule of departure times? Any help would be great. We are leaving Feb 12/10
