Sorry for derailing this thread. I'll start a new one in general discussion's
-
Yes I saw those also. Push to talk won't work for us.
-
This is our 4th year. Packtalk Bold which is discontinued now and any new updates are unavailable. I can't speak for the new product. I see the new made for snow one that is twice the price we paid for these. These are good for motorcycle riding but not made for extreme cold even though they were advertised as such. We won't buy a new cardo for our use. We generally ride 10-12 hours a day. The initial reviews were good but it was for a few hours riding in spring temps. What these need is a warming cradle/helmet mount.
-
Try calling the Ski Doo dealer in Maniwaki .
-
Thanks, we also plug them in when we stop if very cold. At -20 and below we may get 1/2 hour. Just warming them up will bring them back to life. Just a pain. "there are ways to power them from helmet shield if you run electric shield." With a splitter? The cardo's use a micro usb port. Another thing that is wrong with them. Very fragile.
-
How do those Sena's hold up around zero F and below temps as far as battery life? Anyone using them feel free to chime in. We have about had it with our Cardo's. Running a cable from a portable charger inside our coats/bibs does not work because the battery is on the helmet exposed to the cold and lithium battery's don't like that. We got spoiled with our Collette's and wish someone would copy them.

Did the IMotoneige crew get in here?
-
It works on my work computer but not at home. It is getting really frustrating. Tried clearing cache, deleting history, won't work on Chrome or Firefox. On work computer the only way to use a like or other emoji is to right click on it, then in the popup on the top line click "open in a new tab", then close out the old tab and open the new tab. Every time.

Back when a snow flap was a snow flap! No stud tears in that one, pre reverse? LOL
-
Yes, but I'm talking about the itinerary itself so I don't have to go back and forth from the map to the itinerary to see the distances between each number. Kind of a pain on the phone.
-
I heard from Lionel at La Glaciere that Real Masse won't be open this winter after his passing last year. Not sure about anything further out.
-
Last weekend there wasn't much snow on 55 south from the gas turnoff in St Pamphile and it didn't look groomed.
-
I also did and actually got a reply and its posted on the 3rd page here if you hadn't seen it.
-
I got an email from the FCMQ infolettre today and in it is a survey about snowmobiling. At the end is a place for comments. I would suggest writing your complaints about the new Imotoneige App and any suggestions to improve it to what we miss from the old app and anything you would like to see on it....
-
So how do they get that info on the map? Still shows red from Lac Edouard down. Are the clubs supposed to call every day? Plus it shows at least 72 hours or unavailable for grooming.
-
You should have paid for express mail...
-
On the old map you could click on any spot on a trail and it would show the time the groomer was at that spot. Then click another spot and you could tell which way it was heading according to the time stamp. But that was old technology?? Also when you made an itinerary you could see what each stop is like gas, Hotel, or clubhouse. Now it just shows the # of the waypoint. But it's newer and better???
-
YUP.....you can right click on an emoji and then click on open in new page. Then close out old page and open the new page.
-
The top is but the bottom is still showing red. Try calling Lac Edouard to see what they say.
-
Best thing to do is make some calls now to the places you want to stay to get current reports. Like we used to do before online maps came out.

I got a reply after complaining about this APP and all it's bugs and suggesting they just go back to the old one. This is their explanation why they updated the old one. At least they read their emails. Hello, We have developed a new iMotoneige application as well as a new interactive map, because the programming language of the old version was outdated, a language that developers no longer unite, which slowed down the development of new functionalities. In addition, iMotoneige had performance problems, and trail localization was often inaccurate. The mandate for the development of the new application was to completely rewrite iMotoneige and the interactive map in a language that would allow for a more modern, high-performance design, while allowing for the development of new functionalities in the future. The new iMotoneige application now costs $3.99 annually, but the interactive map remains free. The interactive map is only available on a computer, however, because with its side-opening shutters, it's not designed to be used on a phone, it's designed to be used on a computer. For phones, you need to use iMotoneige, the application that's really made for trail navigation. We thank you for your understanding and wish you an excellent snowmobiling season. Agreed, talking about them is one thing, catching them is another.......I highly doubt it is non Canadians. Us southerners appreciate the privilege of the use of these trails, and pay a pretty penny with what it takes just to make the trip Nord and lay a track on the snow. IMO

It's a lookout on Monts Sainte-Marguerite. Only one way to find out. It is listed as a viewpoint on the points of interest.

I just noticed that the things that I assumed were train tracks (broken lines) are marked as quad trails???? Zoom in around Riviere du loup and you can see them Is that what they are doing? Trying to make 2 maps with one base? No wonder it is taking so long to get this correct! WTF?
