  1. Thanks GT Rider.

We will be up next week in this same area.

Leaving Matane next Wednesday and heading East. First night Mont Louis then down to Perci or Gaspsie for the night.

Then back up to Murdochville for 3ard night then back to Matane for Saturday night.

This is the plan.....things can and probably will change.

Great to hear about the trails with detours and conditions. We usually wing it for places to stay....but always open to suggestions.

    Safe travels!

  2. Thank you for that update. We hope to hit this trail in early March.

We were making plans not to go on this trail because of the uncertainty of fuel.

This will be back on our list.

Good news. Conditions on this trail change quickly so gas is very important.

It is one of the nicest trails for scenery so I hope they keep up with the gas!

  3. Just to be clear about the new trail. It is well marked to the Quebec boarder and then a little less from there to St. Irene.

Going in the reverse direction will be more challenging. Signage on the Quebec side is limited until you reach Newbrunswick. We hope to do this trail again next weekend and stay in Amqui for the night. Then go to Biencourt and back to Moose Valley. This trail is groomed and well signed as of last year and assuming it is in the same shape this year (both directions). Newbrunswick took a beating with the mild weather and rain and freezing rain this past week. Lots of trees down and lost some snow pack.

We look forward to another great weekend in Quebec! See you on the trail!

Planning on doing this trail next week. Anyone have any more details about this trail please?

Is it signed? Groomed? Perhaps JG knows something about this trail?

    Thanks all.

  4. I agree. Crossing in Campbelton is alway risky. This is a nice trail and I hope they keep it groomed and add more signs. Hope to do it again next week perhaps.

    Cheers

We went through the new trail to St Irene. Trail was groomed on the NB side. The Quebec side was groomed but not for a while. Signage was not bad. We spent the night in Rimouski. Then back through to the 85 trail to Edmunston. Didn't do Biencourt. I do know that trail is groomed and well marked.

    Hi TR

Yes we did this trip. We left Edmunston through Moose Valley. Signed and groomed to the Quebec boarder. From the boarder not recently groomed and signs are a little sparse. Maybe fine now? I did notice the signage was lacking going towards Newbrunswick. You may want to consider leaving NB?
