  1. That sounds like good news. I think... I am a member at St Sabine as well. Will they keep the clubhouses as they are? Are they just combining the resources to get more out of the $$? Chris
  2. Ooops. I can only retain a few posts at a time....:)
  3. Hey ER, That was my riding partner you met in Miami last week on your way home. Small world.... Chris
  4. All of a sudden I feel un-prepared. I have no Maine or PQ registration yet!!!! Our first ride last year was in your area Switchback. We parked at the St-Sabine clubhouse.
  5. Bill. how about posting some contact info so we can have it ready?? Chris
  6. Figure 25mph average and you will be right on. 5000/25 = 200hrs. You can also reset the hr meter by holding down the button so that could have happened along the way too....
  7. I am leaning toward just riding it this year and hoping for the best although I do wonder if the extra depreciation is better spent on buying a new sled now?? I think setting aside fund of $200/mo starting now will take the sting out of a repair or purchase along the way.....
  8. Legend, Are you sure it's not 198 Hrs? That's a pretty fast average at 98 Hrs. I am not that hard on it either but I did give it a good run last year when the injector stuck open. It would only run right at full throttle. I was so frustrated I think I kept it WOT from Sacre Coer to the Chappell. When I stopped it was fixed :)
  9. Thanks, your $.002 is worth a little more now on our side of the border!! Other than replace the pistons/rings what else did you do? Have the cylinders checked/honed or just replace with stock parts? My two riding partners have 800HO SkiDoos with 9500 and 7500 miles on them without any work, and not planning to do any, so I may be spending time at the dealer regardless  Rob, how far after your first rebuild on your 05SDI did you go? That burned down at 5500mi right??
  10. Here is a question for all the high mileage riders.... I have a 2 season old 05 600SDI SkiDoo with 6500 miles on it. I have been selling and buying new each year for the past 4 years so long term maintenance is new for me. With a new baby and the wife not working a new sled looks like it's just not going to happen this year. Besides the usual which I have done already, clean clutches, chain case oil, greas fittings etc... should I consider doing anything else? Top end? I plan on riding about 4000 miles this winter and prefer not to have to pay a dealer in PQ $2K to get me back on the trail.. Other than a clogged fuel injector, which fixed itself 2000 miles ago the sled has never hicuped. so the history is good. BTW The compression still reads pretty good. Close to 140psi on each cylinder. New was 145ish....
  11. Yes! It's the clubhouse in Beauce. Definitly one of the most active I have been too.
  12. If this happens I don't think it prevents access to the Chappell does it? I thought it would just re route us around the village so we stay out of site from the greenies. Maybe it's actually better to stay away BEFORE it becomes a battle with some group who has way more time and money than us. If they don't see us they won't bother us.
  13. It was nice talking to you too. You will not regret riding there. My advice would be stay away from the hubub of St Zenon etc.. The real Quebec riding is away from the popular areas. Do youself a favor and plan a ride around the Gaspe. It will certainly be a trip you wont forget. It's an easy to plan route and easy to follow with fantastic scenery. The riding just over the border of Jackman ME is great. It's even greater as you get east of Beauce and gets close to perfection as you enter the Gaspe region. Then as an experienced Quebecer you can explore the north side up by Saguaney and realize it gets even better!!!! Just post any questions on here and everyone will be glad to help. I hope to get over to your club in NH this year too... Maybe a few day rides with the wife......
  14. Here is one from one of the busiest club houses in Quebec. One of Bombardier's light weight machines gasing up.
  15. Too bad. I kind of liked going through there. I wonder if they will still have access to the gas in town? No more lunch at the Ski hill????
  16. Well for us that have to trailer to snowmobile we spend a lot more than a skiier. Just the truck and trailer alone put you way past the skiiers cost of equipment. You can get a seasons pass to ski a mountain for $600 or so. Registration and insurance cost that much for me. Also you don't have to fill your skis up with gas 2 times a day either!! Snowmobiling is just ridiculously expensive!!!!!
  17. Also, it might be obvious but the $500K policy only covers you while in QC. It will not help you if you need it in the states.
  18. Hey Gary, How are things going? Hope to see you out ont he trails again... What are they charging to download the newest version if you already bought last years? Chris
  19. Trouble is I think BRP pays next to nothing for warranty work too....
  20. Happy Birthday Andre. See you soon!!! Chris
  21. $10.66US is still a good deal for a lap dance :D
  22. This does not seem to be a government issue. Seems to be a corporate issue. I have not heard of any rules saying you can't legally do it right? BRP could choose to make it even if they wish.
  23. I do signal sometimes when riding. If it is a tight area or a blind corner I will signal. I am hoping people will just give the riders behind me a little extra room. I don't rely on a signal to prevent a crash just to give a little extra room to be courteous.
