Left Shawinagan Sun morn, not alot of snow, but groomed perfect. Rt3 was good to St Raymond. Next 25 miles thru power lines not so good, lots of traffic from Quebec City and high tmps made short work of the trails. Not much of a base for this time of year. From here to Baie St Paul very good, they have alot of snow, and a good base. Overnite at Hotel Baie St Paul, nice place good price. 230 miles for the day. Monday up Rt3 to ferry at Tadoussac, All trails fresh groomed, nice ride. Across the river to 93 trail, not fresh groomed, but not bad, plenty of snow. Went Ice Falls on the way up, nice spot. Took small trail around to the Chapple then on to Relay 31. First time staying at Relay 31, good food, small rooms no extras. Tuesday on to Relay Onatchaway. Had not been groomed in a few days, but not too bad. Left on secondary trail to Lac Vermont, heavy logging operation going on in the area, trail sucked. Got to the other end of the trail and looked back to see a sign saying TRAIL CLOSED, no sign on the other end? Went to Scoobyraid for lunch. Headed south back to 93, all trails in this area very good. Chateau Roberval for the nite. Wed. hit 355 to 73, 355 a little bumpy, but not bad. 73 to Riviere Pierre was very good. 353 to 302 a little light on snow 302 to rt3 was good RT3 back to Shawinagan was very good. 280 miles for the day. Hotel Safari for the nite. Thurs morn RT3 to Rogers Cabins for breakfast then back to the truck . 1040 miles total overall good conditions. We went thinking the conditions would be worse, but were happily surprised. Have to say that some of the best trails we rode on this trip were in the Shawiagan area. 800 Steve

Steve, Thanks for the great report. Plan to head up to Motel Safari on March 6 for a few days
