Hi, last week did some riding around a bit. Buzzed up and down between millinocket and escot st waiting for some friends to hook up with to ride the gaspie. I have friends that have a camp in Dickey Me. Finally crossed over through Escort and hanged a right on the 35 and got the passes at the frontiers club and headed to hotel romisky. Trail (5) not too -too bad. Next day headed to mt. st. P on rough trails and heading up Mt St P, the drive shaft broke on a cat and we towed it to gills esso (a true cat man) and he found a used drive in town and back on the trail by ten the next day. Ill tell you that gills is a really -really great guy. That morning we headed up Mt St P to the wonderfully views. I finally got to see after 2 trips socked in with clouds and one total white out in 1997 and headed to murdockville on rough trails. Gassed up at the shell station and headed to the rock picking up the groomer finally and the clutch on the same cat melted the rollers so it was a slow MPH run down the wonderfully huge road to the cat shack in Chandler for a 1.5hr clutch repair. We would have been at the rock at sun down, too bad. Stayed in Chandler to awake to 6-8' inches of fresh snow and headed through new Rich on kinda rough trails but the new snow helped alot. We got stopped by the real deal (blue lights) pq cops 10 miles before the cable bridge, but they just check us for the decals . Thats the first time in 15yrs that has ever happended in pq. Got to pt. st. C at dark and spent some time at the top of the ski tow looking at the city at night, nice view! Stayed at the little hotel (gazobar), where ya get loaded if ya needed to get a ride across the bridge. Next day shot the river 9 am sat morning(kinda wet) and got a day pass at the ho-jo's and ran the rail bed 17 to the St Leonard NB,,, when just climbing the turn to cross the long RR bridge the 1000 skidoo caught a chunk of ledge and totaled the front end and had to report at the customs past the best western. Couldn't get the 1000 to the customs so the border folks where kinda not to happy, but after 20 min inside they sent us on our way. You hang a right to report by the way, It's ITS 81n ( 2 miles NORTH). There's no sign on the trail TO TELL YOU WHERE TO REPORT WHICH WAS KINDA STRANGE , when ya hit the ITS 81 in Maine. Found a local dude in Van B Me to haul the 1000 to millenocket around 2 pm. The cat and myself had a blast in the potato fields when the clutch on the cat started have problems again. Got pounded on the rail bed through Houlton Me. and the cat died 10 miles south on Oakland Me Irving station(its83) and we had to call to millockett Me. for the truck. The guy with the totaled 1000 had arrived and came to the cat rescue..... My 05 mxzx almost rolled 15k. O- well, had fun anyway in spite of all the bumps and all the other stuff. Always good to ride in Quebec, what ever happens. Looks like a few folks where around the same area from this site. Some day, some where, Ill meet some of you folks up there. Mo-Mo- J.

..... By the way gtse800, On sat am at the ho-jo did you see the 4 guys from NH who all got in a big pile up in NB on the 17 rail bed. There was a totalled f 1000 in a truck with NH tags. One guy broke his pelvis and was in the hospital still?

No, I did not see that, unforunatey I was unable to make the trip, will be headed up sometime this week.

Supprised you was able to doo that many miles with all the break downs, it makes it interesting to say the least.
