Yes, had spoken to hotel, they said no problem to ride from hotel, just looking for some first hand trail info.

We are heading up to Berniers this Friday, and then riding east over towards Etchemin and RDL and maybe further...just a three solid day trip. Anyone have info on riding out of Berniers?

Try to cross in the daylight. The views are pretty cool. 180 miles from the Castle to Auberge 31.

Cant wait to get out again, probably heading up towards Valin area Jan 27-30. Seems like an eternity away :) Iceman is clearly hitting the good stuff!

Hey there, thought I would report in. After we met Iceman on the trail, we proceeded to Taddoussac over to St Simione, and stayed at Motel Horizon. 250 miles of pretty good riding that day, after the ferry riding to Motel was great! Next day rode from Motel on the 378, then 377 then back to 3, and back to 4 Points to get the truck. 130 great miles, of which the last 15 were very icy. All in all pretty darn good riding. RECAP: Started at Berniers on Monday, up to the Matane ferry for Tuesday at 2PM (395 miles). Then Wednesday and Thursday back down the north side. Great ride, 787 total miles over 4 days.

Hey Iceman, I'm one of the guys from the Baie Comeau area. Great ride today. Thanks for the advice on that shortcut trail. Made it to st simione, motel horizon for the night. Then tomorrow we head back to 4 points Sheraton. Should be interesting.

Never mind. We did the route today and all was fantastic.

As anyone heard how 65 is to the border? I heard some comments about trail closures due to the early maple syrup running?

I have never been to your area of mt valin but with no snow in nh thinking of a trip dec 27 fir a few days. How are the trails? And any recommendations for a place to stay?
