  1. Thanks for the pictures, if it wasn't for a business trip, I'd be there... Unfortunately using the same picture twice, doesn't count. Lol Have fun out there
  2. Thanks for the report. Too bad you didn't stop at the water tanks outside of casey. Have fun riding
  3. Was there last year and so busy that I had to park beside a service building near a sled corral. What you are referring to basically a covered frame like a greenhouse that is illuminated and open on one side to the parking lot behind the hotel.
  4. Nice. Wish i was able to join the group. Still think you should fix that trailer cover. Lol
  5. And worth it as the beer is better. Lol
  6. Why would anyone want to come back? Passport or EDL required.
  7. Looks a lot different with snow. Went by lu nic during the summer by atv.
  8. Wow. Glad to see you are well. Any accident you can walk away from is good.
  9. Nice. Enjoy the trails. Looking forward to your next report
  10. Go one step further on the letter: get it notarized. It's now a legal document and less likely to be questioned by a noob agent. Was questioned about the placement of a license plate on my trailer and why wasn't it on the cover. After a few minutes a supervisor waived us on. Go figure.
  11. Thank you, MrGutz. Downloaded the file and had no issues after installing Garmin Mapsource. Reformatted my hard drive after number of files were damaged and had to reinstall Garmin Mapsource. Latest version from Garmin would only install with a qualifying product. Recall I had topo 2008 kicking around and installed that first. No problems after that. Mapsource uploaded V8 to the Nuvi 550, but deleted the earlier versions. Strange. Also, for some reason the maps looked like they were missing alot of the interconnecting trails (local ones specifically). Then realized my resolution was only set to medium. Changed to highest and all the trails appear. I'm good to go. JG, Followed the PDFs located in the default installation directory (C:\Program Files\Sentiers Motoneige 2016 v8.00) and had no issues. Can find mapsource here: http://www8.garmin.com/support/download_details.jsp?id=209 Believe Garmin Basecamp is functional on systems running newer versions of windows. Link is here: http://www.garmin.com/en-US/shop/downloads/basecamp Has anyone used basecamp and did you have any problems? Thinking of upgrading.
  12. Hey JG, Need to update my gps and will walk you through it once I do mine.
  13. Nothing wrong with heading in that direction. Did that 14 years ago and don't regret it one bit.
  14. Glad to hear you like the sled, JG. Been trying to convince you to convert for a number of years. Can't get enough of the torque, smile every time I ride. Renovations on the chalet look sweet, can't wait to see it in person.
  15. Many thanks to the FCMQ team. Appreciate the quick response to correcting a nonsense law.
  16. 100 km north of NY city and just barely a dusting. Very depressing. Guess I'm riding the atv again on the local trails
  17. Off road vehicles are different. Trails are not funded or covered with funding derived from federal taxes. Funding comes from permits, with a possible surcharge to out of state residents. Look at Massachusetts fees on their dcr website.
  18. Why would ATV riders keep ice screws in tires year round? Stud rips out causing a posible air leak...don't think this is the logic behind the law change. Have not used studs on my last 2 sleds and can only recall a handful of instances where they were necessary. I'm sure the law will be revised as they figure out what is happening and businesses complain about loss of revenue.
  19. Nice! Welcome to the 4 stroke world. Bo regrets with mine.
  20. Not in NY. One of the many reasons why I don't ride upstate
