We started last March in Todoussac stayed a the hostel left trailer there for the week. Address is 158 Rue du Bateau its a red building right as you leave the ferry. We went all the way to Havre Sait Pierre. We did not book ahead as there are plenty of places to say in Baie Comeau and Sept Iles. Very cool place to ride no traffic lucky to see a trapper or two that's about it.

Lance is open to 7PM and open at 9AM as far as I remember.
-
Still remember Joncas and our first trip there back in the early 80's coming up from Mont Laurier. It was like a chicken coop back then. Fire destroyed that one also.

I talked to Natalie at La Verendrye Lodge this morning and she said it should be good to go by Friday. The guy doing the clearing is staying at the lodge so this is first hand knowledge and since I'm coming back from Val Dor on Sunday that way I needed confirmation.

Its a fast very open logging road and usually is very fast running. Not sure on Apex making it might want to bring spare gas.
-
Thats right about 120 miles our 850 ETEC's make that trip with a little gas to spare will be riding that trail on Saturday on our way to Val Dor.
-
Going to ride that trial on Saturday on our way to Val Dor. Web site says its groomed so should be good only issue is the Temiscaming end where you ride along side the road. With all the snow they have this will not be an issue this Saturday.

On the weekend we tried taking the 43 from Constance Bay over to Quyon and up to Watham. In Waltham we lost the 43 no idea where it went. It used to cross the river on railway bridge no idea where it is now.
Had to cross Isle des Allumetts to Pembroke and ride the Ontarion side.

They are having issues with trees down along that route club web page says gromming this week so should be open from Swisha to the Pavillion.
-
One of my favourite places to start from great news.
-
Yup stayed there multiple times in the 90's at Joncas in the chicken coup as we called it

If your looking to ride out of the Ottawa area I suggest Swisha to Val Dor trails up in Val Dor, Amos and La Sarre are all 10/10 and wide as the 401 in a lot of places very fast riding in three days we did more than 800 miles with lots of breaks.
-
It was also bad on Saturday March 10th coming up from Swisha on the 386 to Pavilion La Verendrye lodge. It was last groomed on Wednesday but prior to that not groomed for two weeks. A breakdown on the groomer was to blame. Also the traffic on that trail was busy as its a close starting point to Ottawa etc.

Entrance to the ZEC in Swisha has parking area.
-
Start at La Domain its 10/10 on the 63 to Val Dor ran from Val Dor to Swisha in 6 hours yesterday mint powder trails.
-
You need to take the trail into town its a 1/2 mile past the bridge where the Zec building is.
-
In Swisha take the road instead of the trail makes 30 K go by fast.

Yes first fuel is in Swisha / Rapides des Joachims at Lances.
