They have a cups and fresh water, condiments and even coffee. Led lights, endless supply of wood and the best outside “crapper” I have ever seen. Had led light inside and nice clean comfy (not that I tried) cushions around the hole.

Yesterday we stopped at Relais Hebert. It is now my official most “nicely equipped relais” in all of Quebec

Had a crazy powder day.....Left Faillon a little after 9 a.m. and pulled into Parent at 4 pm with a long lunch break in Clova thanks to the 7 Québécois who broke trail for us and the two groomers we passed today. Little hairy from Faillon to Clova but then just darn fun all the way into Parent. Still snowing good here. We stopped for a half hour or so and had a glass of water and a chat with the caretaker at Balbuzzard.

Man am I saddened to hear about the sled trouble Ice. At least the fu%@er ain’t sitting on the trail somewhere dead. Im the first one up here At Faillon. Again 13 sleds in parking lot all with Quebec plates. Only American here again. you said the truck is where ? There have only been two times over the years I was dead stranded with a sled. Once on a solo trip I woke up in St Quentin NB and didn’t even make it out of town and piston went. Truck was down by Sherbrooke.....great story. The next time was smack dab in the middle of Matagami and Amos trail and truck was at LeDomaine......another good story. man I’m no mechanic either but if the sled is low on stator voltage would unhooking the headlights help ?? ( could run sled in middle of a tight pack for safety) I would assume at some point in the voltage/amp drop the computer is shutting it down.

The dog belongs to Jack and his Native wife “Brenda”. He met her out in Alberta where he was for the last 25 years working in the Tar Sands. He’s originally from Valdor and they have only been working at Faillon for about 6 weeks now. One of the coolest dudes I have met in all my years up here.
