  1. not to hijack this thread or anything....it just reminded me to get this out so I can take pictures and sell it. Last year I was in the market for a new jacket. After never owning a Klim and having lots of friends who swear by them I decided to take a look. I quickly came to the realization that the Model I wanted (that I thought would best suit me) was the "Vector" model. Problem was it was discontinued by Klim in 2015. I was also challenged with the fact that I didnt know if I needed a 2xl or 3xl and had nowhere to go try on this particular model. Next problem I had was there was LITERALLY no one (except one motorcycle dealer) in Alberta that had one left each in 2x and 3x but the 2x was grey and the 3x was yellow. Now I wanted the jacket and preferred yellow still not knowing what size would fit me best. Thinking I would never get another shot at a Vector I bought both from them knowing I was good one way or the other. I didnt want to screw around shipping/returning. Plus the guy was not going to hold the other while I decided and I might miss out. I knew full well I was going to resell whatever one I didn't keep so here I start. Fellow QuebecRiders will get the first shot if anyone is interested. My original cost 325.00 plus 20 shipping to you in USA. (less if actual cost is less) Turns out the 2xl fit me best. Only bummer is I wanted yellow instead of the grey. Here's what I can say about the jacket. It's THE BEST snowmobile jacket by FAR that I have personally ever had. Ironically....I just scanned the net as things pop up from time to time and a guy in Minnesota (eBay) has a black 3X for sale total cost 360.00 and another eBay guy (from Russia no less) has a 2xl in yellow for 286.00 total (STEAL) other than that I see nothing else anywhere in a size your average snowmobiler would want. I saw a Klim rep at the Big East show last year and was relaying the story here about the Vector model and she too agreed they should have never stopped making it. Blamed it on the "always gotta have something new" marketing team. One last thing is, and again IMO Klim stuff runs a tad bit smaller in their sizings. Again....just my opinion. The yellow color in my pic is lightened up considerably due to my lighting and is really much deeper in color. I believe these jackets originally retailed for 450+ dollars So bottom line is if you to are interested in this (IMO) awesome perfect model snowmobiling jacket here are your options today: My 3XL yellow for 345 shipped 3XL Black from eBay'r in Minnesota 360 shipped 2XL Yellow from eBay'r (Russia ??) for 286 shipped (downright STEAL if it's legit)
  2. This is one of his 5 moose stands he showed me. We were tooling around in his brand new Honda side by side.what a nice machine.
  3. Got to go out and see some local moose hunting area with a nice fellow who has a house near my buddies camp on Lac Chapeau-de-Paille and hunting area near by. Got educated on all things moose hunting.
  4. This place was closed and no one there as well. They have like 6-8 rooms and my buddy and I stayed there a couple years ago. It was only a year or two old and was a SUPER nice room and stay.
  5. I couldn’t believe how clean and nice this little point was. No one was there and it was a beautiful day as you can see in the pic
  6. Here looking back towards the town. This spot literally can’t be more than a quarter mile or less behind the supermarket/gas station
  7. I drove to St-Jean-de-Matha and spent a few days at my buddies parents. After going there for 17 yrs I had never seen the place in the summer. Got to go on a nice pontoon boat tour of Lac Noir and do some fat biking on the local trails. Then headed up to LeCabanon (never been there in summer either) to visit for a couple hours and have breakfast with Diane. From there I drove up to St Michele and picked up the dirt roads heading north (what a hoot that is). Got to an intersection (riddled with trash) that said 26 clicks (Manawan) or 32 clicks Repos. Well I was heading to Repos way but it was 1 pm and a beautiful sunny day so I said f#*k it....Im going to Manawan first. Did a quick lap of the town in the pickup first. Was surprised to see no kids and no dogs (kinda weird). Decided again....f*#k it I'm looping this sucker (all 2 miles of it) on the fat bike. Well I didnt even have to think twice about where I was going to park my truck while doing it. It was loaded inside and out with all kinds of stuff that someone could have easily grabbed. Any guesses ......the Police Station !!! Here are a couple pics from the shores of the Lac there. Its actually a really beautiful spot. I wish someone had video of my fat ass on a fat bike with a blinky helmet on and yellow safety vest riding the streets there. The locals were looking at me like I was some kinda freak alien from a distant planet. I was chuckling the whole time....LOL After that I stopped by Repos just to take some pics and the place was deserted except for a couple workers. Then off to the camp at Lac Chapeau for 4 nights. It was a fabulous trip albeit being solo. Got to have dinner with the world famous Towing & Kristine also on the trip. We have met before a couple years back but didnt get to spend much time together. They are both not only world famous but "world class" as well. You wont find two nicer people.
  8. Managed about 200 miles on the ATV an about 30 on the fat bike
  9. And here is what the trail we come out of before crossing the road looks like
  10. Was up in the motherland last week visiting various places in the Lanaudiere and Zec Chapeau-de-Paille areas thought some of you might like to see what the place looks like without 4 ft of snow
  11. Hey 486 miles for “the weekend” would be respectable even on a sled. Didn’t know you could cover so much ground on a side x side in that amount of time. The girls in this pic look like they are both holding their backs. Is it grueling on the body after awhile?
  12. Hope you spent the night in Parent with the nice couple that has nice two story modern cabins in town the place CANT be beat
