  1. Road crossings & shoulders in/out of the north side of Shawinigan are a bigger deal when staying at Hotel Gouveneur & gassing at Esso. But that's still not going to make you be "that guy". Might be worth it for you if you're into pretty cool restos & brewery across from their secure parking. And if you're coming back in from the east it's easy to take the gas in Shawini Sud.
  2. Praise the Lord!... http://www.mtlblog.com/2016/08/hold-on-to-your-butts-montreal-winter-2017-will-be-longest-and-coldest-in-years/#
  3. Is there any recognition for being DEPLORABLE?
  4. Looks like your first hunch was CORRECT!
  5. And the designated driver du jour can break down those 5' drops onto plowed roads in Gaspésie! http://trucktracks.com/en/
  6. Millennials who lost their soccer games are just the obvious ones who take but don't give... Welfare instead of Work-fair = Participation Trophies "Career" lawyers & lobbyists = Participation Trophies Gridlock of both "parties" doing zero in DC then going out TOGETHER for $1,000 dinners on our tax dollars = Big Big Big Participation Trophies. This says it all for me...
  7. Too little too late from the NY Slimes: “As we reflect on this week’s momentous result, and the months of reporting and polling that preceded it, we aim to rededicate ourselves to the fundamental mission of Times journalism. That is to report America and the world honestly, without fear of favor, striving always to understand and reflect all political perspectives and life experiences in the stories that we bring to you.” http://truthfeed.com/breaking-the-failing-new-york-times-issues-an-apology-to-its-readers-for-biased-reporting/35225/ The Mrs. is super-stoked for me to be done yelling at the TV. C'mon Mother Nature! Fire up the groomers! Let's ride!
  8. Oh jeeze, really? Forum politics is fine n dandy (especially now!), but I've never gotten complaints towing others with team blue. God Bless 'Merica! And our bruthas n sistas to our north! www.greatagain.gov #LockHerUp!
  9. That never gets old... "Thanks to all groomer operators, thanks for your night hours spent grooming trails, thanks for your skills, thanks for the miracles you achieve."
  10. Looks like a cool joint for a base camp for sled families. Scrolled down here for videos of what they're building: http://www.valcartier.com/en/valcartier-hotel/ How do we get them to provide sled friendly access? Green pin is 4-Points Sheraton, yellow is the local to the east, red is to the west:
  11. Ice Hotel can hold your helmets in a rack. But the shuttle from 4-Points is the ticket! It was was more comfy touring in "civilian" clothes. And best of all... With a designated driver I was able to hit the Ice Bar!
  12. Or where there's no paved road!
  13. @Wow-wow-WOW! Tricycling/Spydering Gaspesie was (intentionally) a summer stroll. But DAMMMMM that's a bon journay! Well done Viper!
  14. Maybe Groomer can confirm: It's interesting if you go to this site and switch from Map to Sat you see little pinpoints of green/yellow every couple/few days. If the dozers automatically send beacon signals when they're fired up, I'm guessing it's the club mechanics doing preseason checks based on the locations: St Raymond, LaCabanon, LaTuque...
  15. Check the grooming reports before going out... Go to: http://fcmq.viaexplora.com/carte-motoneige/index.html Click "Services" in the upper right corner Click “Delai de serfacage” (and whatever other "Attraits" you want to see) Click "Fermer" to close the drop down box If you switch the view from Carte (map) to Satellite, it's easier to see the Whites (those haven’t been done 3+ days) THEN HEAD FOR THE GREENS & YELLOWS!!
  16. Ditto! Gaspe is da bomb, if you have 5 or 6 days, and if you hit the weather right. But Sag is the more sure bet.
  17. Done! Happy to participate! (Receipt number: 8T922566GL5719847) How about PM'ing or emailing/etc the thread to all members, so the invite doesn't get lost? Thanks Gents, (Scorp, no likey beer, see ya in your room for a swig on the handle of vodka!)
  18. Shed with 5gal cans @ Desmaraisville Depanneur is 95 miles west of Chib Relais Lac Cache Petro Canada (no prob for Blue Squadron).
  19. It's cool that my Duramax also came with the plug in. And we installed these warmers on the Yammis: https://www.yamaha-motor.ca/eshop/detail.php?sectionId=AC&groupId=3&subGroupId=31&categoryId=199&itemId=1957 But never used any of it. I should probably get with this extension cord chat? Kinda not gonna help with a frozen diesel block, but lighter grade of oil for winter helps starting and in general. And these fit just as easily in a saddle bag as they do into a glove box!... https://no.co/products/power/jumpstarters
