We will be riding in from Ontario ,north bay , into Val-Dor , we are going to stay 2 nights at the Forestel , looking for a 150-200 mile loop to do and return to Val-Dor , thanks for the replys we are not going to make the free weekend this year but we enjoy the trails in Quebec and want to explore some of them. We are traveling from Ontario to Quebec in mid February and are staying at the Forestel in ValDor, we are riding 3 days in Quebec and we are going to stay at the Forestel 2 nights , we would like to do a loop of some kind around valdor any suggestions for a days riding from Valdor ??????? Yes the trail is closed this year it is OFSC trail A105 Q we always take the trail from Valdor back into Ontario it is a old Railbed and it was a great trail and messes up anybody saddlebagging thru the area. They have snow in Cochrane now they are grooming and opening up trails now.The reason they say was they have to eliminate a groomer so they are doing less trails in that area. We are from the States and plan our trip there every winter that way ,so we have to replan our trip and go elsewhere,this year we are going to go to Valdor and stay there 2 days and head back to Ontario looks like now thru Kirkland Lake ontario. zrtkat

Well they closed down the main trail from Cochrane Ontario A105Q will not open this year ,that horrible news as we always go from Valdor to Cochrane, we have to change our saddlebag tour. zrtkat

We stay every winter at the Hotel Forestel love that place ,they cater to snowmobilers , we ussually start in Ontario and make our way to Val-Dor and then to Cochrane, We are from Ohio and we Love Quebecs Snowmobile trails. Enjoy your trip Zrtkat

Tom thanks for pictures and reports, our group is heading to Val-Dor February 7th staying at the forestel, we will be coming from new liskeard, then next day heading to Cochrane. Zrtkat

Zrtkat and Crew are planning to do the free weekend again this winter in February. Would like to do a saddlebag Trip one winter in Quebec , Do not know too much about the area but really enjoy the trails in Val-Dor Area We will be coming in From New Liskeard to Val-Dor Then Val-Dor to Cochrane Hope the trails are shaping up for our winter Vacation

Just wanted to say I started in New Liskeard ont to Val-Dor Saturday the free weekend I wanted to say they where the best trails I have ridden , Val-Dor to Cochrane the next day The signage on the trails where amazing thanks for all the people who take care of the trails Hotel Forestel in Val-Dor AAAAA++++++ nice place to stay zrtkat zrtkat
