We made it back to the truck today we rode from Matane to RDL,the trails where in pretty good shape ,lots of groomers k locking down snow drifts a couple days they should be in great shape. This trip was a learning experience for us even though I did not get to see the whole Gaspe next year I will have a better Idea where to go. We still managed to get 1400 miles on this trip , some great experience also. Back to Ohio in the morning Ride safe Zrtkat & Crew

we had a hard day big drifts ,big wind, it was hard finding trail we made it to Pointe-a-la-Croix Quebec ,I was happy to see motel will post some pics after dinner Greg

Thats for sure there are 12 of us in our group we had to change reservations because of getting stuck here today we came to NB for free weekend ,so we just purchased our 1 day permits for tomorrow we are a day behind schedule so far.

Thanks for the info we had planned on using the ferry but with them canceling a lot of crossing we changed plans ,good thing for that , we are stuck here in NB planning on leaving in morning zrtkat

Just a heads up for people planning on using the ferry ,they cancelled ferry until further notice,said incident with the mv apollo at the godbout wharf

Glad you made it snowmaster we had changed our starting point, because of the ferry cancellations. We are in Mutane right now ,they changed the schedule and it would have not worked for us on the return trip. Have a great ride Zrtkat

Viper 2 We where going to start in Saguenay to Forestville spend the night and ride to the ferry and cross to Mutane the next day , then ride 7 days in the Gaspe and return the same way. Now we are starting in RDL riding fir 7 Days ,when we get back and still want to ride might head over to Roquemont and spend a night or 2 and do some loops. Zrtkat& Crew

Ferry alert all sailings cancelled 2/18/19 due to heavy Ice I am happy with our decision to change plans even though it will cut our riding time down 2 days but at least we know we will not be stuck. Zrtkat & Crew

Well we are planning on starting in Rdl and going from there, just concerned that the ferry will not run Thursday and we are meeting a group in mutane and riding from there so this way we will be on the right side of the River

They cancelled all sailings today due to heavy Ice , we cancelled our plans and going to Plan B ,we cannot count on Ferry to cross over ,good luck to everyone using the ferry it sounds like its not that dependable Zrtkat

We made reservations to cross from Baie-Comeau to Mutane on 2/21/19 I see they put a new ferry in service Apollo they are making 2 trips per day . my question is are the ferrys a reliable way to get to Mutane ???? our whole trip will be thrown off if the ferry cancels any advice ????? have a safe road trip to New York the wind chill is Brutal here in Ohio I would like to know how it was getting on to the Ferry and crossing to Mutane we are doing that in mid February. Have a Great Trip Zrtkat

I would like to find a place that has a gated lot to park inn I want to make sure I have a vehicle when I get back Thanks viper2

I will check those places out ( where would you stay at ) also we need a secure place to leave our truck/Trailer) also I have a GPS which will be very helpful we would like a shorter day on our first day riding to get broke in plus I will be a little tired from our drive up there. Thanks Zrtkat

Viper2 I am still open for suggestions for a place to start closer and 1 day ride to Forestville ,the closer the better less travel time in truck,last year we did a loop we started in Temiscaming and did a big loop this year we want to experience the Gaspe. When you do not know the area it is hard to plan everything so any suggestions is greatly a[ppreciated Zrtkat

viper2 we where thinking of starting in St Raymond but we would have to many miles to cover on our time frame we are going to start in Saguenay to forestville or anyplace we can make in 1 day riding to forestville forestville to baie-comeau to Mutane (Ferry) 7 days of riding the Gaspe back the same way to truck I would like to start closer and save the driving time in the truck 11 days riding 2 days travel time Thanks Zrtkat
