  1. Rode 33S to Lac du repos. There's a detour on 33S west of Manawan that is not marked. Recommend taking the detour. Lots of plowed road on 33s due to logging.
  2. First day overcast and spiting snow. Decided to head north to parent. Trails were groomed nice and flat a few ticks on the skis. At parent we headed down 13 to fer a cheval. Trails were still in decent shape. We meet up with a huge group of 30 sleds headed north from ste--anne-du -lac. Trails got rougher after meeting with them. We then took the local trail around reservoir mitchinamecus. Trails threw here hadn't been touched by a groomer in awhile. Half way across we crossed into a different club that had been grooming recently. When we got to 33 to get back to 100 lac it was rough. 190 miles for the day. But all is good while fueling up the sleds we saw the groomer going threw the woods 😀
  3. At 100 lac. Place is very nice. Scenery is beautiful. Best part the people who work here understand English very well.
  4. Thanks for the info. Hope to fit it in on one of our days.
  5. Headed to 100 Lacs now. Looking to possibly ride down to Montagne du Diable. Is the view worth the ride? Or any other suggestions? First time in the area.
  6. I'm in Louisiana for work and about a inch of snow on the ground this morning. Crazy weather for sure
  7. Looks like I need to take a early trip before Xmas. As long as I don't get the flue lol
  8. 39 years in the sport. Some whenew I was so young I don't remember. I will give up all other hobbies to fund my disease for this one. And now it includes longer trips to QC. Once u go it's just part of the sickness.
  9. Thanks jblavl that info will help with the planning. We were thinking of using parent as a night stop.
  10. Just looking to get out early and put some test miles on the sleds before the good part of the season starts.
  11. I was wondering where the best area is to ride early in the season? Was looking to get a ride in before Christmas this year. Obviously depends on mother nature.
  12. Thanks I appreciate all the information. Giving it all to the boss to look over and decide.
  13. Thanks Iceman I'm looking into that now. The cost of buying one for a couple weeks a year was kind of scary.
  14. Two sleds. She worries about not being able to get ahold of anyone if there is a major problem.
  15. My girlfriend and I were wondering if we should buy a sat phone for these remote areas? What do you guys think and if you have one what kind do you use?
  16. Thanks for the insight. Less time in the truck and more time on the trails is always better.
  17. Club Gatineau reminds me of Ravage. Above quebec city that was a beautiful place.
  18. Looks like Comfort Inn in Mont Laurier would work to start our trip. It's the closest to us on the south side. Looking for about two hundred miles a day. We have rode around Riviere du loup and can do two hundred a day there no problem, but are not sure that the trails will be that fast running that far north. We've ridden from St Zenon to Repo. Is it that kind of riding?
  19. Thank u I will look into them. Just planning ahead to lay out my winter trips.
  20. Hi first time posting. Looking to do a saddlebag trip around the Woodrunner loop. The big loop. I am from Central NY looking for a southern starting point on this loop then suggestions for subsequent nights. Have rode a lot in Quebec last two years and have the desire to ride here as much as possible now. Thanks for any info.
