Sadly there was an accident in northern NY near the border of Vt with 2 teenage girls. One passed away. The other was in hospital in Burlington VT under a coma. no helmets...went for a quick joy ride. My wife is a volunteer at the Ronald McDonald room at the hospital and was consoling the mother of the girl there. So sad...

Looking forward to the reports from Iceman this upcoming winter !!! Think Snow. Looks like the area is getting some snow based on the radar I am looking at.

Oh man...that sucks bigtime. We did stay at the Days Inn but we had all our stuff locked up good. Me and my daughter did 175 miles on Thurs and 190 on Friday.

Any recent info on this hotel...good place to stay? How is security....any issues lately? I was planning on going to Montagne Coupee but no rooms available on one of night stays. Thanks in advnace.... VTrider

towing.... Do you have any info on how the Shawinigan area held up after the rain? Plan was to head up this weekend with the wife and friends. Staying at Gouverneur....concerned about the river conditions, wondering if the snow got washed away from trail on river. Wife is not to keen on ice....especially if she can see it, haha. Iceman.... Are the rivers safe to ride right now...planning to come up to the Gouvernuer next weekend with the wife and a few others. I am assuming they are but want to make sure so there are no surprises, being that some in the group this will be the first ride in Quebec and I want to show them a good time. Thanks in advance !!

Alain... Rode the same trails on Saturday...had lunch at Marineau at noon. Our paths must of crossed at some point. Great day of riding. Really enjoy your informative posts. We will be back up soon.

Iceman..... I am planning on coming up a few days before and through the free QC weekend....usually stay at the Governuer. Is there still decent access out of the hotel or should I consider staying elsewhere? Thanks for all the info you provide. I may be going solo(waiting to hear back from some riding buddies)...so if any one is there during that time and wants a riding partner let me know. Thanks, VTrider

All I have to say about that is..... You ain't getting that !!! Haha

Klim....Klimate Bibs. Insulated and gortex. Key is layering. I wear the Klim un-insulated bibs with Klim fleece pants and under-armour cold gear. Very light and provides awesome warmth. The key is wind protection.

Florida Snowman.....do you rent from Motos Thibault? If so...may I ask what their rates are? I have my own sled but have considered renting if I bring the wife up? Does anyone have experience with Maximum Aventure in Shawinigan/Grand Mere? Thanks for the info. We will be the Escapade in 2 weeks.
