  1. Just talked to Diane at LeCabanon an hour ago they got 2 feet so far today and no power, should have the trails good in a couple of days
  2. Good thinking Playhard, I got the same card monday but didn't even think to post it Who knows maybe they got Vonage
  3. Great report Alain! Looks like a good start to the season, hopefully there are no early season warm-ups this year. Have a Happy Holiday and keep the reports coming
  4. X2 on that Gizz
  5. As usual iceman you hit the nail on the head on all counts
  6. Schooter, have been on the north shore a couple times and would say the trails are very good up till Sept Isle. I have not been past there for the same reason most don't it seems to go to hell in a handbasket after that. When I was in Sept Isle about 12 years ago they said the trail got pretty rough after that. It seems to me that the snow is usually pretty thin out there, I sure would like to be out there when it snows and take trail R as far as it goes. If you are planning this trip and not going to cross over to the Gaspe I would suggest leaving from Baie St. Paul. It is a little past Quebec city maybe an hour by car but cuts out some crap and gets you closer to forestville for the first night.
  7. Quite a few years ago some friends of mine met up with some natives I think near Lac Fallion and they showed them to Chibougamau thrugh the bush they said it waspretty quick but I don't think they could do it again that was before ayone had a GPS.
  8. How many motor rebuilds would that be on an 800 e-tec, I am not too good with big numbers
  9. 4. The C-C club would like to see the money from trail passes divided up based on hours of grooming, not the way it's being done now. Who is going to monitor the hour meter? If they ever go to this system there will surely be some widespread game playing. I don't see how it can get any fairer than it is now buy your pass where you plan to ride. Imagine how some of the smaller clubs feel that can't afford to advertise online or on a map to drum up more business. Or even worse some of the areas that can't get certified by the government and have to rely solely on the local business people to fund the grooming. Just my $.02
  10. Great report Alain as always! I enjoyed your pics especially of the Gouin reservoir track. Too bad the winter is cut short time to start dreaming of next year I guess.
  11. Sounds like you are having a great trip iceman I sure wish I lived a little closer to Quebec I would def. do one more trip yet.
  12. What trails do you usually ride when you are in that area?
  13. Unfortunately, when it comes to a nice family area with access to lots of local trails there are not alot of options and Lanaudiere is still the best option for this kind of trip. Sometimes you just have to think outside the box as far as what trails to ride. Stay off the beaten path as much as possible and get out early. I still enjoy going to that region for for a week in early winter because they usually are one of the first to have the trails opened and groomed. It is also much easier to get to for a long weekend as far as travel time and smaller family loops are possible.
  14. Shane, I can't speak for the conditions but if you don't have resevations you are better off at Le Cabanon or if you don't like them for some reason even Real Masse try to avoid the whole SMDS circus. Alot more choices for trails leaving LeCabanon and can go north without going on 33
  15. Thanks Phil, I just hope I can remember that next time, I was starting to think I was an idiot or something..........wait I guess I am
  16. That's what they always tell me Mid Range......it was groomed the day after you went through...... I just wish one time it was groomed the day before I went through
  17. Where did you delete them from? I am having a similar problem, At the bottom of the page when I am posting just under the browse button and to the right of the Attach This File button it says used 51.13 MB of your 48.83 MB global upload quota not sure what hat means exactly but I figured it has something to do with it.
  18. Sounds like you had a pretty good trip Dave! Lots of snow makes for lots of memories. I see you found out what 63 is about in and around Domaine and the trail down to the Classic. It's a shame that trail always has to be $@*t but I think they only groom it maybe once a year. We had a great trip to Maine tons of snow and lots of memories too. I think I am done for the year time to get back to work and the fuel for the trip up and back is starting to kill me, twice for the year is enough.
  19. Farmer maybe you need to pack a lifevest from now on.
  20. Never stayed there but know people that have. For an extra fee you can keep sleds in repair garage next door. I think they used to have "special" entertainment there on a thurs. night I prefer LeCabanon nicer setup and secure parking for sleds, nice bar and good food.
  21. Sure don't miss those days, I usually carry a quart for my Apex but don't plan to use it.
  22. You may be like my wife then one more is never enough!

  24. I may be wrong but I think he Lepine Rd. and Woodrunner are one in the same.
  25. I knew you were kidding when you said "too much wine" no such thing
