  1. Literally spitting horsepower. I love it. Thank you for the clips. We went to the poker run in Clayton a few years ago. My friend has a boat, not quite like yours…. but we were out in the channel when the big guys went by. Rooster tales galore. A little off topic but ah well… Such drastic differences between the St Lawrence and Lake Champlain. No current, warmer water, sandy beaches and no freighters to watch out for. Have you been on the south end of Lake Champlain with your boat? Start at the Peru boat launch and head down to the Old Dock for lunch, or for your rate of travel, coffee break.😂 The scenery between the ADKS and the Green Mountains makes that area a sweet place to burn some gas. Head over to Burlington for the night. Shit now I sound like a tour guide…. On your right is the birth place of our local lake monster legend Champ
  2. We are definitely going to need a video, that includes sound in order to fully comprehend the notes and melodies that come out the tail pipes on those twin screws. All kinds of extra plumbing in that compartment
  3. Shit now I understand why the SxS hit the back burner. Can you imagine if you had to fill that up at the Repos….😂. I am planning on running the north side of the Gouin this summer on the X3, that is what made me reach out earlier today. Might take a detour and pop out in Chibougamau for gas if I can stretch it an extra day. Let me know if you ever dip that baby in lake Champlain, might be able to meet up at the beach some day.
  4. Jeff, season is done unless you want to drive the truck to one of 3 locations. 1 Sept Isles 2 Chibougamau 3 La Chapelle parking lot How did the Kashima coated shocks work on the front of your enduro this year? Looked like a pretty sweet set up
  5. Definitely enjoyed following along, jealous is an understatement. Nice rip. West is best
  6. I was thinking about Lac Moreau, I had forgotten about Trout lake. They were kinda ball busters too, but it was a sweet place. Funny story. About ten years ago we stopped and ate there not knowing they mostly cater to reservations with full package only, so it wasn’t cheap and the food was pretty bad. As we left I asked about gas. It was waaaaayyyyy over priced, and I mentioned it, but needed it so we paid….So off we go back to the trucks. Long story short we went the wrong way for about an hour before realizing the mistake we had made. So we ended up back at his gas pump for another round a couple hours latter. The guy laughed a little when he said that I liked his gas so much I came back for more…lesson learned, never run your lips to the guy with the gas, no matter how bad he gouges you.
  7. The good ole ball buster… Le Balbuzzard Sauvage. Only the second place I know of that makes you take your boots off to come inside. Funny now that I think of it, the other place is also a log cabin. How is the snow depth between Faillon and Clova? Think it can survive another warm spell?
  8. 14 hrs one way…that’s no joke. I am sure you will be rewarded accordingly by the groomers and trail conditions in that neck of the woods. Post some pics of the run to Matagami. It’s been too long since I laid eyes on that west side of 396. Pretty sweet through there as I recall
  9. Club Piteman reporting that Lepine road is open from the Pensive up to Clova. Yes I did learn that info in facecrack, just not our sister station. Straight from the horses mouth
  10. I feel the same way. It can’t always be a one way street. It has to be give and take.
  11. Good advice Also don’t play with the puck
  12. Negative ghost rider. Top secret intel that cannot be discussed on an unsecured line. 😇 I will pm you and any other CONTRIBUTING member that wants to know. I apologize for the secrecy but if I say where it is I will have to compete with all the lurkers next time I go there. Getting sick of that real quick. They come over here learn some new shit, then head over to facecrack and regurgitate the shit they learned here as if they had the idea. Sorry but it’s true. I can’t find parking at the Roquemont anymore, same with SADL. I did not see much snirt, granted we only put on 300 miles in 2 days. There were maybe 5 patches of grass near the hotel, once we got up the hill it was good to go for the rest of the day.
  13. The missis asked me to take her for another run, so we packed up and headed Nord on Tuesday night. Small jaunt just the two of us. Here are some pics
  14. I sent invitations to my great aunts Nora & Esther to the party, but they have not RSVP’d yet. I would like to see them at least once this season….nor’easter.
  15. I twisted myself around at that same spot last weekend. Now that 345 pops out north of repos screwed up my sense of direction. My trak maps is from 2016 so it’s not really up to date. Ben left the horseshoe at least 3 years ago. The place is now owned by the mining company that is prospecting the copper vein just north of the outfitter. The two ladies running the joint now doo a great job. I hope the prospecting doesn’t lead to mining in the area, that would be more problematic than logging. The WIFI password is the name of the company: KINTAVAR. There is a report on radio Canada on the whole operation. I found a video on YouTube last summer showing some of the exploration.
  16. Here are some pics from last weekend. Another 600 miles of smiles. The most snow I have seen so far this season, but still not quite enough in spots. TQ83 is really having a rough season.
  17. Sweet trip Chris. We crossed paths on Saturday morning, two skidoo’s headed out while you were headed back to Mattawin. I did not notice it was you until you were by me or else I would have signaled the head tap again….lol Yes… you did catch me giving a hand signal, shame on me old habits are hard to kick.
  18. Awesome in the summer too, let’s doo it this year. Outfitter tour by SxS
  19. Hey Chris, save some for me. I am planning on Windigo for Saturday night. Cheers
  20. Trip # 2 brought us further east. We left Quebec City just before 7am and headed Nord Saturday morning. We were second tracks all the way up to L’Etape. Had some breakfast and headed up to APICA. Stopped in for a quick second and continued nord up to the New bridge crossing the Peribonka. Our dear friend Jeff left us too early, so his wife asked us to spread some of his ashes for her on a sled trip, he loved riding Quebec and I have many memories of riding with him. we stopped for gas and supper at Onatchiway, then made our way back into town at the Delta for the night. 330 miles on the ticker, needless to say it was a late one. Bonus of staying out so late you might get to follow the groomer back into town after he lay’s down some more fresh ribbon. Sunday we headed back up the east side of the mountain, had lunch at the Chapel, then headed out to the Domaine Hors Piste for a beverage. Turn and burn back to the delta. 200 Monday we left at 0 dark thirty and found fresh groomed trails awaiting us all the way back down to Quebec, only problem was the heavy freezing mist hanging around until way past 10 o’clock. The first 25 miles were a chore. Wipe, scrape, use sun visor only, then stop and thaw the shield out. Go another 2 miles and repeat. We had another small ceremony at the top of APICA that morning and spread some more. Gassed and eat at APICA and headed back to the truck. 700 some odd miles for the three days. We saw the good, the bad and the ugly for snow conditions. The groomers are performing miracles for the snow they have to work with. Hats off to them.
  21. The same is true for the thickness of the smoked meat sandwich
  22. How bad? All the way from the T to Weymo
