  1. It snowed a lot since then. Dave, next time you're around, please come and say hello. Richard
  2. I'm told Louise's last wishes were to not be exposed, no reception, no nothing. Only to have her 1/2 ashes dispersed on her land and the other half buried aside from her past husband Robert Desaulniers. Richard
  3. Louise Garvin 69 years old died early this morning of cancer. Louise sold me Auberge Mekinac in November 2001. She owned the place with her past husband (Robert Desaulniers 1998) since the 1950s. After Robert past away, she kept the place open in winter for snowmobiles. I'm sure the old timers will remember her for her good laughs and coffee with Brandy. I don't know yet what arrangments will be done but if any are interested please email me at r.verville@videotron.ca and I'll provide the details when I know them. Richard
  4. Jackstraw and his friends came back yesterday from a 1000 miles loop, they said from Mattawin to my place was not that bad. But... There's not enough snow anymore. The only thing to help whatever left of the seaon would be a good snow storm. Thanks very much to the few that were here this winter and hope to see again next winter. Richard
  5. About 8 inches have come down, heavy snow. Power lines have broken in the area, lost electrical power for 16 hours. It gives you an idea of what is in the trails. Trees etc... Those that stopped yesterday were all wet. I talked to the club this morning and they said they won't groom until it gets colder because the snow is going to pile up behind the machine. Here's the link for the forecast. http://www.meteomedia.com/weather/caqc0661...epage_savedcity Richard
  6. Light snow last night (maybe 1 inch) and still snowing right now... Auberge Mekinac Richard
  7. Trails barely have snow here to La Tuque. Lake Edouard to Lake St-Jean, all I have talked to this week said it's nice. Snow/Rain on the forecast tonight for the next 4 days. I hope it will be snow. I'll post everyday if snow comes down. Richard Auberge Mekinac 819-646-5735
  8. All the phone numbers are still good. Was out for 6 days, got back Friday. Lots of rain on this past Monday, but freezing right now, -20C yesterday and -30C this morning. 347 River is riding ok right now , 355 south was groomed from St-Joseph to M7 junction yesterday. I was out in Jonquiere 2 weeks ago and trails were nice. Actually , they have as much snow than we had, but the La Tuque region has less ??? even if they are in the middle !? Richard
  9. 355 South is open and groomed up to the M7 junction. Richard Auberge Mekinac
  10. Dale, Wayne , I have not seen you for a while , were you by ? Richard
