  1. Hopefully they will come up with some sort of solution that satasfies the farmers soon. Snowmobiling in Quebec generates an economic impact of $1.5 BILLION every year! That was the number a two years ago. It may be down a bit with the down turn in the USA enconomy.
  2. Would this be for all trails or just ones in residential areas?
  3. Andyman and I looked at that new loop last week. You would have to double back to La Cache for sure for gas. One end of the trail starts a couple miles west of the Carleton Clubhouse. Andyman and I went part way up a couple winters ago and had to turn around because of roads being plowed for wind farm development. That should be a fantastic trail, it looks to be going right through the Fairbault (sp) area.
  4. Happy Birthday Rob! Hope you have a good day with all your family. Hope all is well and maybe we will cross trails this winter. I will also echo Bill's sentiments, thanks for this board and the HUGE contribution you have made to snowmobiling with all the other boards you have started and administered. Happy Birthday
  5. Good News. That makes for a nice loop, I will ride it this winter for sure. Nice to hear we are gaining the odd trail instead of always loosing them.
  6. I am sure if a person was running a machine with stock exhaust making very little noise and respecting the homeowners there would be very little problem if you were caught after hours trying to get home or to your motel. JMO
  7. I am sure Groomer will sell you a permit depending on where you would like to start. Should you have trouble lining up with him there is a Yamaha dealer just as you cross into PQ that would have all the different permits available.
  8. HA HA HA You need to lease a wheel chair!!!! That grey color in your beard should help explain some of the problem. Me on the other hand, being much younger than you can solve the problem by taking huge quantities of Aleeve. OMG Whose idea was that anyways. Thanks Jean Guy for a really good time with a few woobly pops, several bottles of red wine (sometimes in the same night), and a lot of laughs with you and your friends. Here is a pic from the top of Mt. Albert. I call it a "Room with a View".
  9. Hope you had a good day Ray!!
  10. You two are right on, maybe it was my clever hint that made it so easy. LOL
  11. I will offer an easy one up to the masses.
  12. It looks a little bit like Club Scott, but I am not sure.
  13. I have to agree with gizz, a very nice unit, I have one as well. The only fault I can say I have with mine is and it may be just me, is I find the screen a little small (this might be related to my age & eye sight too). I have seen some other models with a bigger screen but I am not sure of the, price, model, or features on these other units. The 60 CSX is very user friendly and works well in extreme cold!! Both very important features for a GPS.
  14. I am sure the business is off substancially since the $$ has devalued and the economy has slumped. I know it is noticable the traffic compared to 5 years ago in Quebec. I am not sure what they do in the off season but quite sure the ATV's don't bring in near the revenue snowmobiles do.
  15. Let me know as soon as you have them and I will order mine. There are some of the guys that travelled with me last winter that will also be looking for Permits as soon as they become available from your club. Hopefully there will be a lot of out of area riders support your club this winter by purchasing there Permit through you. Your trail system is such an important and well maintianed corridor in the Gaspeseie Loop.
  16. That is a new lookout on the TQ 5 heading into MSP.
  17. Are these the falls you, Bob and I walked into??
  18. Very nice picture GT Rider!
  19. You have a keen eye GT Rider! I took the picture going by and didn't realize how nice it was till I got home and put it up on my monitor.
  20. An easy one.
  21. Welcome aboard! There is no better site on the web for information about snowmobiling in PQ.
  22. LOL I think he was into the wine again LOL
  23. It looks a little bit like up top of La Hutte(sp)heading toward the tower.
  24. Glad to hear you got your new camera! You will have to stay out of the wine until you get it figured out, a couple of those look a little fuzzy
  25. Have a great time, hope your weather is good for riding. I have done the Gaspesie a couple times in the summer in a car, it is every bit as beautiful as in the winter. Take lots of pictures!
