  1. Where to go depends on what you like to do. If you’re interested in scenery… Go to St Martin’s area and explore the Fundy Parkway, there is nice hike over the Salmon River bridge and along the river to Hearst Family salmon fishing lodge where you can get a nice meal this year. Challenging (hilly) bike trails in the park. Side trip into Fundy National Park and spend time in the park (a nice little scenic public golf course if you play). Side trip to Cape Enrage where you can get meal and go rock cliff repelling. Then drive along the shore line road until you get to Moncton. Hopewell Cape (tourist site) is along the way where you can see 50 foot tides around flower pots…your call on this one In Moncton if you have kids take them to Tree Go (do a search), zip line and ladders, ropes etc 80 feet up in the trees. If you like the beach go to Shediac area such as Parlee Beach
  2. I’ve been around the Gaspe on sled 5X and by vehicle 4X, and as recent as October 2009. By sled I prefer going clock-wise and by vehicle counter-clock-wise because I think the scenery is better along the south-shore in this direction. On the south-shore (more touristy area) Carleton, Chandler and Perce are the places to spend time. New Richmond to me is of limited interest. In Perce take the boat ride to Bonaventure Island (it goes next to the Rock), you can hike to other side of island and see gannet colony (depends on time of year). Next stop would be town of Gaspe and Forillon National Park (worthwhile to hike and scenery). The Gaspe area is busy in the summer and if you don’t like crowds (south side), September is better month ans cheaper hotels. The north shore tends to be a nice drive, road runs at base of cliff and next to water for 20-30 miles. North-side seems less populated and not as touristy. If you hike and have time, go to Parc de Gaspe and hike Mount Jacque Cartier. Depending on the things you like to do, I feel rushed at 3 days, 4 would be good.
  3. I believe this would be ~ 10-15 km from Murdochville (Gaspe) on the side trail from Murdochville to Relais la Cache (Trail 595), looking at the backside of Chic Choc Mtns. Trail is not well signed so best to ride shortly after it's groomed because it can drift in. Great trail and I think it's best to ride from Murdochville side for the scenery. I stopped to take the same picture.
