Heading out Monday from Gracefield headed to Pavillion La Varendrye and then off to Val D'or on Tuesday. Does anyone know if the trail is open and what type of condition it is in? Also, if anyone has any info on the trail from Val D'Or to Clove, would be appreciated too.

We will be leaving from a friends cottage near Gracefield. Plan is to stay up at Mekoos on Saturday night and the Auburge Lac Taureau on Sunday night. We may stay in the area for a couple of extra days if the Haute Gatineau trails don't open up. Looks like we will need to make sure we pack an extra layer with temps expected to plunge early next week. Ice scratchers likely a good idea....leaving the 800Etec at home and riding my new (to me) 1200 Renegade. Keeps us up to date on trail conditions...where did you travel today and how were the trails after the melt down?

Linda, we were thinking of making the trek up from Georgetown, Ont, this weekend for a few days of riding. We were thinking of going to Le Cabanon, but it sounds like le Glacier is working out pretty good for you. The 2 star rating kind of scared us off. Very interested to hear your trail report, and what the conditions are like after the rain and quick freeze.

Thanks for the info. I have been watching the website but was worried that they might have lost the access. Will definitely not cross until it is staked. How have the trails been in the Maniwaki area up towards Classic and down to Black Rollway this year? Do you know if they are grooming into Lac Heney from the tracks this year? I have left a message on the Oursblanc voicemail and just waiting for them to get back to me. I am coming up from the Toronto area but always buy my pass from Oursblanc. We will be 6-8 guys and will be getting them to also get there passes in Gracefield Friday morning.

Midrange, do you know if blue sea and lac des cedres will be open soon or have we lost right of way. Wasn't sure if it was thin ice or loss of access. We are planning to come up this weekend and do the tour from Gracefield, Maniwaki,Classic, blue teepee and then back through Messines to Gracefield but worried that the lakes are closed.

Hi Bill, we are coming up to the HI on Tuesday from St.Raymond. wondering what is the best route 23 to 83 or 23 to 368/383. Hope to get a chance to meet you. We will be there until Friday.

Looking forward to the updates. We are planning a trip up there for the week of Jan.16th. One of our guys needs to rent for the week. Do you know of any rental businesses in the area?
